The INEC Killarney is the destination this Saturday for the pinnacle of the Senior Scór season. The premier county will have representation in three competitions this Saturday.
Having overcome nine teams in the County Final, Newport’s quiz team then finished a fantastic third in the Munster Final on home soil. This meant that the quartet of Anna O’Riordan, Rosemary Ryan, James Coffey and Paraic Kennedy will fly the flag for the county and province along with teams from Cork and Kerry.
Onto the stage events with Borrisoleigh Katie Shanahan returning to the All-Ireland this time at senior level to try claim the elusive solo singing All Ireland Trophy. Katie has had three wonderful performances thus far in the County, Munster Semi and Munster Final where she has mesmerized the audiences with her rendition of ‘Lovely Derry’. We wish Katie all the best.
Our final Tipperary act taking to the stage are no strangers to the big day with Newport returning for the second year to the All-Ireland Final in the Ballad Group competition. Despite All Ireland honours eluding them last year they return eager as ever to try and collect the big prize. We wish the group of Teresa Nolan, Paraic Kennedy, Siobhan Egan, Michelle Toohey and Anthony Floyd all the best this Saturday.
If you can’t make the trip to Kerry this Saturday be sure to tune in on the live stream courtesy of TG4. The link will be posted to social media on Saturday and we encourage you to tune in and listen to our wonderful acts!
