Tipperary Supporters Club was founded in 1986 by Babs Keating to raise funds to support the training and preparation of the Tipperary Senior Hurling team. Babs was appointed manager in 1986 following the most barren spell in the county’s history. No Munster or All-Ireland senior hurling title had been won since 1971.

Babs led Tipp back to Munster and All-Ireland success and in doing so revolutionised the preparation of the team. His wish to elevate team preparation to new levels and to ensure that Tipperary players were treated second to none demanded funds. He founded the Supporters Club to be dedicated solely to this purpose.

Tipperary Supporters Club is a sub-committee of Tipperary County Board but has its own officer board and executive committee.
Tipperary Supporters Club was the first GAA supporters club and continues to thrive today. It has organised many fund raisingevents including draws, golf classics, dances, horse racing benefits, greyhound racing benefits.

Thanks to Babs’ vision it has contributed handsomely to ensuring that Tipperary teams are prepared to the highest standard.
