U16 Hurling
Congratulation’s Borris-Ileigh on a strong performance in the U16B North Final on Saturday last. This was a thrilling final played against a gallant Borrisokane in great conditions. The final score of 3-12 to 1-10 in Borrris-Ileigh’s favour does not really reflect the game as Borrisokane were very much in it with a few minutes left. Borris-Ileigh now go on to meet Loughmore in the County semi which has provisionally been fixed for 11am on Sat 4th October at The Ragg. The county final will take place the following weekend. Our last North Tipp action of the year takes place on Sunday next in Nenagh at 2pm when Kilruane and Kildangan contest the eagerly awaited U16A final. Best of luck to all teams.
Minor Hurling
North Tipp CNG would like to congratulate Kildangan and Newport/Ballinahinch for their fantastic performances last weekend in the County minor finals. First up, Kildangan had a big win over Mid opposition Loughmore in the B final. Later, under lights at Semple Stadium, the Newport/Ballinahinch combo just fell short when a very strong Moyle Rovers came out on top by a goal. Nevertheless it provided two fantastic performances from the North Tipp representatives.
