U12
Our U12 divisional winners are preparing in earnest for the County semis on Sat week where they will all play Mid Tipp representatives. Kilruane will represent the North in A, Silvermines in B, Templederry in C and Roscrea in D. All clubs are reminded that players must be born in 2002, 2003 and 2004. Grade D is strictly 9 a-side bot if both teams agree, it can bee 11 a-side. Best of luck to all.
U14
We are at North semis stage in our U14 championship and in A this week we have Toomevara v Roscrea on Wednesday whilst Kildangan will play Nenagh on Saturday in the second semi. Meanwhile in B grade, Shannon Rvrs will host Newport Gaels and Borrisileigh will play Kilruane, both also this Wednesday. Both the A + B North Finals will be part of a double header on weekend after this. The C final takes place this Friday evening in Portroe when Portroe will play Lorrha.
U16
A grade is really hotting up as this week Kilruane beat Nenagh 3-10 to 2-6 in their last game whilst Newport recorded their first win of the pool beating Kildangan 1-16 to 2-9. In their last pool game Toomevara beat Roscrea 3-12 to 0-10. Roscrea have two games in hand which they need to win to stay in the competition, as top three go to semi with 4th + 5th going to the quarter and the bottom team eliminated. Meanwhile, over in B, Moneygall had plenty to spare over Portroe , winning 5-16 to 1-3. The other three games did’nt happen and with the final round next Monday evening there will be a fixture log jam which ill need to be resolved asap. Next Monday we see Borrisileigh v Ballina, Burgess v Shannon Rvrs, Portroe v Silvermines and Borrisokane v Moneygall.
