West Minor A Hurling Championship:
Clonoulty/Rossmore and Emly/Treacys will contest the 2015 Dundrum House Hotel West Minor A Hurling championship final following semi-final victories on Thursday night last Oct 1st. Clonoulty/Rossmore kept up their 100% record in this years competition when defeated Arravale/Eire Og in New Inn. Match Report

While in Clonoulty Emly/Treacys got the better of Galtee/Golden. Match Report

The final has been fixed for this Sunday Oct 11th at 12 noon in Annacarty. Extra-time will be played in the event of a draw.

Clonoulty/Rossmore go into the final as reigning champions and will be looking for title number 15 in the grade. They will be looking for their second title in a row and their fourth in six seasons. Emly/Treacys will be looking for their first title in Minor A hurling. Emly last tasted success in the competition in 1983 when joined with Lattin/Cullen. The same combination also won the title in 1954. Sean Treacys last won the Minor A title in 1942.

West Minor A Football Championship:
The final of the Tipperary Print and Design West Minor A Football championship has been fixed for Thursday October 8th at 7.30pm in Cappawhite. It will see Arravale/Eire Og take on Galtee/Golden. Extra-time will be played in the event of a draw. The winners will play South champions Clonmel Commercials in the County semi-final.

When the sides met in the group stages of the competition it was the Galtee/Golden combination who came out on top. Galtee/Golden finished top of the group with four wins from four games and then defeated Emly/Treacys in the semi-final. Arravale/Eire Og finished second in the group with their only defeat coming against their final opponents. They defeated Rockwell/Rosegreen in the semi-final.

The Galtee/Golden combination have won the title on three previous occasions and last won the West Minor A Football Championship in 1962. Arravale Rovers have won the competition 26 times in their own right and last won the competition in 2013.

Galtee Rovers are the reigning champions and have won the competition five times in total.
Golden/Kilfeacle last won the Minor A football title in 2011 which was their 5th title in the grade.

County Senior Football Championship:
There were two West sides in action in the quarter finals of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Football Championship last weekend.

On Saturday Arravale Rovers kept up their unbeaten run in championship football in 2015 qualifying for the semi-finals for the first time since 2011 when they defeated Killenaule in Boherlahan. The draw for the semi-finals will see Arravale Rovers up against Moyle Rovers this Sunday October 11th at 2.30pm in Cashel. It is a repeat of the 2011 County semi-final in which Moyle Rovers advanced. The sides last met in round 2 of the County championship (under the old system) in October 2012 where Arravale Rovers advanced by a single point. The sides also met in round 2 of the championship in 2010 where it was Moyle Rovers who advanced.

This will be Arravale Rovers first semi-final appearance since that 2011 defeat to their semi-final opponents. Arravale will be looking to make it to the County final for the first time since 1985. Galtee Rovers exited the 2015 championship when they were defeated by Moyle Rovers in their quarter final on Sunday last in Cashel.

The final quarter final will take place this Wednesday night October 7th, where there is an all-West clash as Eire Og Annacarty Donohill come up against Aherlow Gaels in New Inn. The game has a 7.30pm throw in. It is a repeat of last year’s West semi-final in which Eire Og advanced. The winners of this game will play 2012 County champions Clonmel Commercials in the County semi-final this Sunday October 11th at 1pm in Cashel. Extra-time will be played in all games in the event of a draw

County Intermediate Hurling Championship:
West involvement in the Clean Ireland Recycling County Intermediate Hurling Championship for 2015 is over as our three remaining teams all exited the championship.

West champions Cashel King Cormacs exited the championship following defeat to St Marys in the preliminary quarter final on Wednesday night last September 30th in Dr Morris Park.

There were two West teams in action in the quarter finals over the weekend. On Saturday Golden/Kilfeacle bowed out of this year’s championship after a narrow two point defeat to Newport in Kilcommon while on Sunday last in Holycross, Lattin/Cullen Gaels also bowed out of this year championship with defeat at the hands of Clonakenny.

County Junior A Hurling Championship:
Clonoulty/Rossmore have qualified for the final of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Junior A hurling championship following a six point victory over Ballylooby/Castlegrace in the semi-final on Saturday last in Cahir. They will now meet Roscrea in the final on Saturday Oct 17th at 3pm in The Ragg.

County Junior A Football Championship:
The remaining semi-final spots in the Clean Ireland Recycling County Junior A Football championship were sorted over the weekend. Gortnahoe/Glengoole defeated Newport while Ballina received a walkover from Thurles Sarsfields.
Golden/Kilfeacle will now face Ballina this Saturday Oct 10th at 3pm in Kilcommon while Emly will take on Gortnahoe/Glengoole on Saturday Oct 17th at 3pm in Golden in the County semi-finals. Extra-time to be played in both games in the event of a draw.

County Junior B Hurling Championship:
Eire Og Annacarty Donohill will play the winners of the South Junior B Hurling final between St Marys and Mullinahone in the semi-final of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Junior B Hurling championship. The South final is currently fixed for this Sun October 11th at 2pm in Davin Park.

County Minor B Hurling Championship:
In the Clean Ireland Recycling County Minor B Hurling championship Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams await the winners of the South final between Grangemockler/Ballyneale and Carrick Davins. The South final is currently fixed for this Saturday October 10th at 3pm in the Clonmel Sportsfield.

Referees:
Best of luck to west Tipperary referees John McCormack and John O’Brien who take charge of the County Senior Hurling championship semi-finals on Sunday in Semple Stadium. John McCormack will be the man in the middle for the Drom & Inch v Nenagh Eire Og game while John O’Brien will the man in the middle for the Thurles Sarsfields v Kilruane MacDonaghs game.
