West Intermediate Hurling Championship:
The West Intermediate Hurling quarter finals fixed for this weekend June 3rd and 4th have now been postponed and will be re-fixed at a later date.

West Junior A Hurling Championships:
The remaining round 1 game due to be played last Saturday between Eire Og Annacarty Donohill and Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams was postponed due to a bereavement. This will now be played this Saturday June 4th in Cappawhite at 7.30pm.

West Junior B Hurling Championship:
The Tipperary Co-Op West Junior B hurling championship continued last weekend with three games down for decision.

In Group 1 on Saturday evening in Dundrum, Cappawhite got their first win of this year’s campaign when they defeated Clonoulty/Rossmore. Match Report

The remaining round 2 game takes place this Tuesday night May 31st when Cashel King Cormacs take on Solohead in Cashel at 7:30pm. The next round of games in Group 1 are fixed for Saturday June 11th. More details next week.

In Group 2 last year’s beaten finalists Sean Treacys made it two wins from two when they defeated Galtee Rovers in Annacarty. Sean Treacys are now guaranteed a spot in the knockout stages.

Also in Group 2 on Saturday evening, Arravale Rovers got their first win of this year’s championship when they defeated Rosegreen by two points in Bansha. Match Report

West Junior B Hurling League:
The semi-finals of this year’s Maria Marron, Palmers Hill Stud West Junior B Hurling League take place this weekend. This Saturday night June 4th last year’s champions Emly take on Solohead in Sean Treacy Park at 7.30pm. Emly go into the semi-final unbeaten while Solohead won three of their four Group 1 games to finish second in their group.

The following day in Dundrum at 12 noon Cappawhite take on Golden/Kilfeacle. Cappawhite go into the game unbeaten while Golden/Kilfeacle won two of their three group games to finish second in their group. There is a provision for extra-time in both games in the event of a draw.

West Junior A Football Championship:
The AIB Tipperary West Junior A Football Championship commences this weekend. This Friday night in Group 2 Cappawhite take on Sean Treacys in Solohead with a 7.30pm throw in. Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams are the remaining team in Group 2. On Tuesday evening June 7th in Group 1 last year’s beaten finalists Emly take on Clonoulty/Rossmore in Sean Treacy Park at 7.30pm. Rosegreen are the remaining team in Group 1. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the semi-finals.

West Junior B Football Championship:
The Rea Clarke Hennessy West Junior B Football championship commences this weekend with one game in Group 2 of the competition. Rockwell Rovers will take on Aherlow Gaels in Bansha on Sunday with a 12 noon throw in. The remaining round 1 games have been fixed for Wednesday June 8th. More details next week.

Crosco Cup:
This year’s Crosco cup semis finals took place last week. First up were reigning champions Arravale Rovers who took on Cappawhite in Cappawhite on Thursday night last with the home side prevailing by four points. Match Report

Cappawhite will have to wait to learn their final opponents as Clonoulty/Rossmore and Golden/Kilfeacle finished all square on Friday evening in Golden. Match Report

The replay has been fixed for Tuesday June 14th in Clonoulty at 7.30pm with extra-time to be played in the event of a draw.

County Intermediate Hurling Championship:
The final group games in this year’s County Intermediate hurling championship take place on the weekend of June 25th and 26th. More details nearer the time.

Celtic Challenge:
South Tipperary went down to their first defeat on Wednesday night last when they were beaten by South Wexford in New Ross. Match Report

South Tipperary now play South Kilkenny in their next game on Wednesday June 1st in Cahir with a 7.30pm throw in.

Referee:
Best of luck to West referee John O’Brien (Arravale Rovers) who takes charge of the Christy Ring cup final this Saturday June 4th in Croke Park between Antrim and Meath.
