West Junior A Hurling Championships:
The West Junior A hurling championship commenced last weekend with Emly defeating Clonoulty/Rossmore in Sean Treacy Park on Sunday morning. Match Report

The remaining round 1 game due to be played last Saturday between Eire Og Annacarty Donohill and Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams will now be played this Saturday May 28th in Cappawhite at 7.30pm.

West Junior B Hurling Championships:
The West Junior B hurling championship commenced last weekend with four games down for decision.

In Group 1 on Saturday evening in S T Park last year’s semi-finalists Solohead got the better of Cappawhite. Match Report

Also in Group 1 Cashel King Cormacs had a comfortable victory over Golden/Kilfeacle. Match Report

In Group 2 last year’s beaten finalists Sean Treacys made a winning start when they defeated Rosegreen in Clonoulty on Friday night last. Match Report

Also in Group 2 on Saturday night Galtee Rovers made a winning start to this year’s competition defeating Arravale Rovers. Match Report

The action continues this weekend. In Group 1 on Saturday night May 28th at 7.30pm Clonoulty/Rossmore will be playing their first game in this year’s competition when they take on Cappawhite. Also in the same group in Sean Treacy Park the two victorious teams from round 1, Cashel KC and Solohead meet with a 7.30pm throw in.

In Group 2 on Saturday night Sean Treacys will take on Galtee Rovers in Annacarty at 7.30pm. Both sides enjoyed 1st round victories last weekend. While in Golden at 7.30pm Rosegreen and Arravale Rovers meet with both sides looking for their first victory in this year’s competition.

West Junior Football Championships:
The West Junior A & B football championships will commence on weekend June 3rd to 6th.

O’Donoghue Cup:
This year’s Michael Devlin Solicitors O’Donoghue Cup will commence on Wednesday June 1st when Clonoulty/Rossmore and Cappawhite meet. The winners will play Rockwell/Rovers or Golden/Kilfeacle in the semi-final. Arravale Rovers will play Galtee Rovers in the other semi-final.

Crosco Cup:
This year’s Crosco cup semis finals take place this weekend. First up are reigning champions Arravale Rovers who take on Cappawhite on Thursday May 26th in Cappawhite. The second semi-final sees Clonoulty/Rossmore take on Golden/Kilfeacle on Friday May 27th in Golden. Both games throw in at 7.30pm with extra-time to be played in the event of a draw.

County U21B Football Championship:
Commiserations to Golden/Kilfeacle who were defeated by Cahir in the County U21B Football championship on Friday night in New Inn by the bare minimum on a score-line of 2-6 to 1-8.

Celtic Challenge:
South Tipperary made it two wins from two in this year’s Celtic challenge cup when they defeated Waterford City in Golden on Wednesday night last. Match Report South Tipperary now play South Wexford in their next game on Wednesday May 25th in New Ross with a 7.30pm throw in.
