Minor Football Championship:
The Minor A and B Football championships finals took place on Sunday last in Dundrum.

In the Bridge House Golden West Minor B Football Final Cashel King Cormacs claimed their second title in the grade defeating Cappawhite Gaels to take home the John P Ryan Shield.

Galtee/Golden retained their Tipperary Print & Design West Minor A Football title when they defeated Arravale Rovers and in doing so claimed a fifth title in the grade lifting the William O’Dwyer trophy. Match Report / Photos

West Minor Hurling Championship:
The West Minor A & B Hurling championships will now commence after the Leaving Certificate.

West Junior B Hurling League:
The Maria Marron Palmers Hill Stud West Junior B Hurling league continued last week with the final round of games in Group 1. Cappawhite defeated Sean Treacys to maintain their unbeaten run in this year’s competition while in the remaining game Solohead accounted for Rosegreen. This now completes the semi-final line up with the dates, venues and times to be confirmed in due course.

West Junior A Hurling Championships:
The West Junior A hurling championship commences this weekend with all fours teams involved. In Sean Treacy Park at 7.30pm Emly take on last year’s West and County finalists Clonoulty/R while in Cappawhite also at 7.30pm last year’s County Junior B Hurling champions and Munster finalists Eire Og Annacarty make the step up to Junior A where they take on 2015 West Junior A champions Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams.

West Junior B Hurling Championships:
The West Junior B hurling championship commences this weekend with four games down for decision.
In Group 1 on Saturday evening May 21st at 6pm in S T Park last year’s semi-finalists Solohead take on Cappawhite. The following night in the same group at 7.30pm in New Inn Cashel take on Golden/Kilfeacle.

The actions commences in Group 2 on Friday night May 20th as 2014 champions Rosegreen take on last year’s beaten finalists Sean Treacys in Clonoulty at 7.30pm. The following night at 7.30pm in Lattin 2011 champions Arravale Rovers take on Galtee Rovers. Round 2 of the competition will take place the following weekend.

West Junior Football Championships:
The West Junior A & B football championships will commence on weekend June 3rd to 6th.

O’Donoghue Cup:
This year’s Michael Devlin Solicitors O’Donoghue cup will commence on Wednesday June 1st when Clonoulty/Rossmore and Cappawhite meet. The winners will play Rockwell Rovers or Golden/Kilfeacle in the semi-final. Arravale Rovers will play Galtee Rovers in the other semi-final.

Crosco Cup:
This year’s Crosco cup got under way on Saturday night last in Clonoulty with the hosts defeating Sean Treacys by six points. Match Report.
Clonoulty/Rossmore will now play Golden/Kilfeacle in the semi-finals on Friday May 27th. Arravale Rovers will play Cappawhite in the other semi-final on Wednesday May 25th.

County U21B Football Championship:
Best of luck to Golden/Kilfeacle who take on Cahir in the County U21B Football championship final this Friday night May 20th in New Inn at 7pm. Extra-time will be played in the event of a draw. Golden/Kilfeacle will be looking for their 3rd County title in the grade to add to their titles of 1995 and 2007. They are unbeaten in their 5 games to date in this year’s West and County championships.

County Adult Football League:
Congratulations to Cappawhite who won the County Adult football league Division 2 title in Dundrum on Saturday night last defeating Newport in the final on a score-line of 1-10 to 0-5. Cappawhite leading at the interval by 0-5 to 0-4. Tom Treacy’s goal in the second half sealing the victory for the Cappawhite men. Kevin Mullins chipped in with four points (1 from a free), Jerry O’Neill with two points, Michael Buckley (free), Kevin Stapleton and Ger Ryan P with a point each.

Celtic Challenge:
South Tipperary will play their second match in this year’s Celtic challenge cup this Wednesday night May 18th at 7.30pm in Golden when they take on Waterford city. Admission is free of charge.

Referee:
Best of luck to John O’Brien (Arravale Rovers) who takes charge of the Christy Ring cup relegation playoff between Derry and Wicklow in Pairc Esler in Newry this Saturday May 21st. Best of luck to Fergal Horgan (Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams) who takes charge of the Leinster Senior Hurling championship quarter final between Dublin and Wexford this Saturday May 21st in Croke Park.
