West Junior B Hurling League:

West Junior A Football Championship:
Emly are through to the semi-finals of the AIB Tipperary West Junior A Football Championship following victory over Rosegreen in Bansha on Friday night last in Group 1. Match Report

The remaining game in the group takes place this Saturday night as Clonoulty/Rossmore take on Rosegreen. Both sides have lost their opening games so it’s a winner takes all game as the winner will take second spot in the group and the remaining semi-final spot. If the game finishes level Clonoulty/Rossmore will advance on score difference.

Group 2 will also conclude this weekend. On Wednesday night Cappawhite take on Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams in Annacarty at 7.30pm. A win will see Cappawhite top the group while a draw will guarantee them a semi-final spot. Kickhams will be playing their first game in this year’s competition. On Saturday night July 2nd in Cappawhite at 7.30pm Kickhams take on Sean Treacys. Treacys must get a result out of the game to remain in the competition following their opening round defeat against Cappawhite.

West Junior B Football Championship:
Group 1 of the Rea Clarke Hennessy West Junior B Football championship commences on this Tuesday 28th and continues on Friday night July 1st. On Tuesday night Golden/Kilfeacle take on 2015 champions Galtee/Rovers in New Inn at 7.30pm. The Clonoulty/Rossmore and Cashel King Cormacs game fixed for Golden has been called off as Clonoulty/Rossmore have withdrawn from the competition. On Friday night Eire Og Annacarty Donohill take on Golden/Kilfeacle in Cashel while in Golden, Cashel King Cormacs take on Galtee Rovers. Both games throw in at 7.30pm.

Group 2 continues this Friday night. The two winners from round 1 meet in Bansha as Arravale Rovers take on Rockwell Rovers. Aherlow Gaels take on Solohead in Sean Treacy Park with both sides looking for their first win of the competition. Both games throw in at 7.30pm

County Intermediate Hurling Championship:
Sean Treacys went down to their first defeat in this year’s County Intermediate Hurling championship when they were defeated by Boherlahan/Dualla by two points on Saturday night last. Sean Treacys will still qualify from the group but their final placing will depend on the result of the Arravale Rovers v Moyle Rovers game. Should Moyle Rovers win, there will be three teams level on four points – Sean Treacys, Moyle Rovers and Boherlahan- and the placings will be decided on score difference. Sean Treacys currently have the better score difference of the three. The result on Saturday night also means Arravale Rovers cannot qualify from the group but a win in their last game will take them out of relegation. The remaining West teams will be in action on July 9th.

Referee:
Best of luck to David Grogan (Aherlow) who will take charge of the Munster Junior Football Final between Cork and Kerry in Austin Stack Park in Tralee this Wednesday June 29th at 7.30pm. Fergal Horgan (Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams) will take charge of this year’s Leinster Senior Hurling Final between Kilkenny and Galway on Sunday at 4pm in Croke Park.

Best of luck to the Tipperary Minor Hurlers who take on Cork in Pairc Ui Rinn in the Munster semi-final this Thursday June 30th at 7.30pm.
