West Junior A Hurling Championship:
The second round of the Gleeson Concrete West Junior A Hurling championship takes place this Friday night July 8th.
In Sean Treacy Park, the tie of the round sees the two round 1 winners, Emly and Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams meet with the winner guaranteed a place in the knockout stages of the competition. In Bansha, Clonoulty/Rossmore take on Eire Og Annacarty Donohill with both sides looking for their first win in this year’s competition.
Both games throw in at 7.30pm.

West Junior B Hurling Championship:
The group stage of the Tipperary Co-Op West Junior B hurling championship concludes this weekend with the final round of games in Group 1 and 2. In Group 1 on Saturday night in Sean Treacy Park, Solohead take on Clonoulty/Rossmore at 7.30pm. In the other game Golden/Kilfeacle have conceded to Cappawhite.

Solohead are through to the semi-finals already and Cashel will finish second in the group and go to the quarter finals. The remaining quarter final spot in the group is between Cappawhite and Clonoulty/Rossmore. Cappawhite are on four points and Clonoulty/Rossmore are currently on two points.
In Group 2 on Friday night, Arravale Rovers take on Sean Treacys in Cappawhite while in Golden, Galtee/Rovers take on Rosegreen. Both games at 7.30pm. Sean Treacys top the group on four points followed by Galtee Rovers and Arravale Rovers on two points each while Rosegreen have no points.

Sean Treacys are guaranteed a place in the knockout stages regardless of their final game result. Rosegreen must win to have any chance of progressing. Wins for both Arravale Rovers and Rosegreen would see Arravale Rovers top the table, Sean Treacys second and Rosegreen third.

Wins for both Sean Treacys and Galtee Rovers or both games finishing level would see Sean Treacys top the group, Galtee Rovers second and Arravale Rovers third. Wins for both Rosegreen and Sean Treacys would see Sean Treacys top the group and the reaming places settled on score-difference as the three teams would be level on two points.
Wins for both Arravale Rovers and Galtee Rovers would see three teams (Sean Treacys, Arravale Rovers and Galtee Rovers) level on four points with all three qualifying and the final group positions decided on score-difference.

West Junior A Football Championship:
The remaining game in the group 1 of the AIB Tipperary West Junior A Football championship takes place this Tuesday night as Clonoulty/Rossmore take on Rosegreen in Cashel at 8pm. Both sides have lost their opening games so it’s a winner takes all game as the winner will take second spot in the group and the remaining semi-final spot. If the game finishes level Clonoulty/Rossmore will advance on score difference.

In Group 2 on Wednesday night last Cappawhite had two points to spare against Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams in Annacarty. This victory puts Cappawhite into the semi-finals as group winners. Match Report

The remaining group game between Sean Treacys and Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams was postponed on Saturday night last and will be re-fixed.

West Junior B Football Championship:
Galtee Rovers are top of Group 1 of the Rea Clarke Hennessy West Junior B Football championship after two victories in the last week. They opened the defence of their title against Golden/Kilfeacle on Tuesday night last. Match Report

On Friday night they followed up that victory with a defeat of Cashel King Cormacs in what was a repeat of last year’s decider. Match Report

Golden/Kilfeacle recover from Tuesday night’s loss to Galtee Rovers to defeat Eire Og Annacarty Donohill on Friday last. Match Report

The next round of games in group 1 are currently fixed for Tuesday July 12th.

Group 2 continued last Friday night. Arravale Rovers defeated Rockwell Rovers in Bansha to make it two wins from two in this year’s competition. Match Report

In Sean Treacy Park Solohead got back to winning ways defeating Aherlow Gaels. Match Report

The win puts Arravale Rovers through to the semi-finals as group winners as both Solohead and Rockwell Rovers meet in round 3 and both been defeated by Arravale Rovers so neither can pass them. The remaining group 2 games are fixed for Saturday July 16th.

Minor Hurling:
The West Minor A and B hurling championships commence this week. In Group 1 of the Joe Hayes Cleanline West Minor A Hurling Championship Galtee/Golden take on Emly/Treacys in Golden at 7.30pm. While in the Bewleys West Minor B Hurling Championship Eire Og Annacarty Donohill take on Cashel King Cormacs in Annacarty at 7.30pm.

Crosco Cup Final:
This year’s Crosco Cup Final has been fixed for Saturday night July 9th in Dundrum with a 7.30pm throw in. Cappawhite will take on Golden/Kilfeacle. Golden/Kilfeacle booked their place in this year’s decider when they defeated Clonoulty/Rossmore in a replay on Wednesday night last in Clonoulty. Match Report

County Intermediate Hurling Championship:
In Group 1 Arravale Rovers take on Moyle Rovers in Leahy Park Cashel at 7.30pm on Saturday night July 9th.
Sean Treacys have qualified from the group but their final placing will depend on the result of this game. Should Moyle Rovers win, there will be three teams level on four points – Sean Treacys, Moyle Rovers and Boherlahan and the placings will be decided on score difference. Sean Treacys currently have the better score difference of the three. Arravale Rovers cannot qualify from the group but a win will take them out of relegation.

In Group 5 Cashel King Cormacs take on Shannon Rovers in Borrisoleigh at 7.30pm on Saturday night July 9th.
This is a repeat of last year’s fixture. Both sides are playing for second spot in this group of three and both lost their opening round games to Ballinahinch. Cashel King Cormacs must win as a draw would be enough for Shannon Rovers to advance on score-difference. A win would also see Cashel out of the relegation playoffs.

Tipperary Senior & Minor Hurlers:
Best of luck to the Tipperary Senior and Minor Hurlers this Sunday July 10th in the Gaelic Grounds in the Munster Finals.
