This game will be streamed on all official Tipperary GAA platforms, Tipperary GAA Facebook Live, Tipperary GAA Twitter and YouTube link provided on the Tipperary GAA website https://youtu.be/bvo-fXHYL0U

The FBD Insurance County Senior Hurling Final between Kiladangan and Loughmore-Castleiney will be broadcast on TG4 this Sunday, 20th September at 2.00pm live from Semple Stadium.

Again, just to note that clubs must apply to Co. CCC for permission to video a game for analysis or streaming purposes. And where Tipperary Co. Board is already streaming a live game, clubs or individuals cannot stream the same game through their own resources.

FBD INSURANCE TIPPERARY CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

Since the FBD Insurance County Championships sprang into action back in mid-July, time, it seemed, gathered momentum as we were whisked along in the continuous motion and excitement that the hurling and football championships provided us with this year. While supporters had to view proceedings by and large remotely, the excitement and appetite for games never waned where the quality of this year’s championships were superb. To that end we thank all our clubs for the wonderful spirit and co-operation they showed throughout the championships in trying circumstances, as we focus in on the last two major weekends for now.

Semple Stadium will next Sunday host the FBD Insurance Co. Senior Hurling Final when the Field of Legends welcomes Loughmore-Castleiney and Kiladangan for the hurling showpiece event as both sides battle it out for the Dan Breen Cup.

Remarkably, there has been no previous meeting in a county final, semi-final or quarter-final of this final pairing, considering the great form of both sides in recent times. Sunday, therefore, will lay down a new marker and possibly being a rivalry for the coming years.

Loughmore-Castleiney go in search of their 4th Tipperary hurling title while Kiladangan go in search of their maiden win having come so close last year. The county final record for both clubs reads as follows;

Loughmore Castleiney

1983 lost to Borris-Ileigh 0-17 to 1-11

1987 lost to Cappawhite 1-17 to 2-13

1988 defeated Borris-Ileigh 2-7 to1-8 in replay. The drawn result was Loughmore-Castleiney 1-6 Borris-Ileigh 0-9

2007 defeated Drom-Inch 0-22 to 0-13

2013 defeated Nenagh Éire Óg 1-17 to 1-16 (also won Munster title)

2014 lost to Thurles Sarsfields 2-22 to 3-11

Kiladangan

1934 (with Kilbarron) lost to Moycarkey-Borris 3-6 to 2-3

1938 lost to Thurles Sarsfields 7-7 to 2-2

2016 lost to Thurles Sarsfields 0-27 to 1-15

2019 lost to Borris-Ileigh 1-15 to 1-12.

With experienced and hugely talented players lining out for both sides, it promises to be a thrilling spectacle, the only downside being the lack of supporters to watch from the stands. The final however will be broadcast live on TG4 with throw-in at 2pm.

The FBD Insurance Seamus Ó Riain final is the first of the finals to get under way in Semple Stadium this weekend when Mullinahone and Lorrha-Dorrha meet on Saturday. Mullinahone came through their semi-final after a hard fought victory over Newport while Lorrha found the going somewhat easier in their semi-final win.

This final has all the hallmarks of a thriller with both sides eagerly looking to make it to the top tier. The action throws in at 2pm and the game will be streamed live on https://tipperary.gaa.ie/ with details further in the bulletin.

Also, on Saturday the FBD Insurance Intermediate Football final between Grangemockler-Ballyneale and Rockwell Rovers will be played in Clonmel Sportsfield available to view on https://youtu.be/bvo-fXHYL0U. This represents a huge occasion for both clubs that are making tremendous strides in recent times and it should be an intriguing contest. Download programme Intermediate Football Championship Final

Best wishes to all our clubs in action this weekend.

All knockout fixtures include extra time and finish on the day and we send best wishes to all clubs in action this weekend.

All the relevant regulations covering the rules regarding finish on the day have been sent to club secretaries by CCC secretary Tom Maher. Club secretaries must inform team managements of the regulations so they can familiarise themselves with what will happen in the event of a game going to finish on the day.

In the FBD Insurance senior football semi-final last weekend Loughmore-Castleiney and Moyle Rovers served up an exciting match with the mid side emerging victorious to ensure dual senior county final status. Best of luck to them in the county final on Sunday week and commiserations to Moyle Rovers who bow out following Saturday’s defeat.

The FBD Insurance Intermediate Hurling final will be contested between Moyne-Templetuohy and Gortnahoe-Glengoole following their semi-final victories last weekend.

Finally for now, in FBD Insurance senior hurling relegation final Éire Óg Annacarty-Donohill survive in the top tier after their four point win over Burgess, commiserations to Burgess.
