Tipperary Ladies Gaelic Football Notes – 1st December 2014

IRISH TV
Tipperary Ladies Football All Ireland Minor and U16 winning teams recently recorded a programme with Irish TV in Moycarkey Sports Complex, Littleton. The teams and their management had a fantastic night demonstrating their skills and playing a trial football match. Interviews were recorded with the management teams and representatives from each team.

Irish TV is an Irish channel which records local stories for a global audience and is available on SKY Channel 191 or Free to air/Freesat 400. The programme, “Tipperary County Matters”, is due to be televised on Saturday December 6th at 8.30pm.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Tipperary Ladies Gaelic Football will hold their Annual General Meeting in the Horse & Jockey Hotel on Monday December 2nd at 8.00pm. All clubs are welcome to attend.

HIGHER EDUCATION LEAGUE FINALS
Well done to all the colleges who played in the League Finals this week. The University of Limerick claimed the Division 1 League title after successfully defeating Dublin City University on a score line of UL 2-6 DCU 1-6 in Carlow IT.
Tipperary were represented on the University of Limerick panel by Aisling McCarthy (Cahir), Emma Buckley (Cahir), Maire Curley (Templemore), Siobhan Condon (Aherlow), Dara Walsh (Clonmel Commercials) and Jennifer Grant (Brian Borus). Lorraine O’Shea (Mullinahone) was the Tipperary representative on the DCU panel.

In the Division 3 League Final Cork Institute of Technology won the Pat Quill Cup when they overcame the University College of Dublin, CIT 1-11 UCD 1-9. Jackie O’Gorman (Brian Borus), Claire Walsh (Brian Borus) and Roisin McGrath (Moyle Rovers) all from Tipperary were on the Cork Institute of Technology panel.

MUNSTER POST PRIMARY SCHOOLS COMPETITIONS
The Munster Post Primary Schools Competitions are already underway with schools throughout Munster competing at various grades. Nine Tipperary schools won Munster titles last year. Two Tipperary schools, Colaiste Dun Iascaigh and Colaiste Mhuire, Carrick on Suir competed at All Ireland level in Senior and Junior Grades.
