 All-Ireland Minor A Final ReplayTipperary 4-09  Galway 2-06

Last Saturday 30th April 2016 will go down in the history books of Tipperary camogie as the day this bunch of young ladies came to St.Brendans park Birr Co.Offaly and delivered a devastating performance that Galway just had no answer for and walked away All-Ireland champions.

Tipp looked more focused with the job in hand second time round and from the throw in ,were causing the Galway defence all sort’s of problem’s but it was Galway that got the first score of the game from a free in the 7th minute and it wasn’t until the 13th minute that Tipp got their first score from Sinead Buckley and two minutes later Tipp struck again with a good point from player of the match Orla O’Dwyer but Galway replied with a goal and moments later Caoimhe Purdue was introduced and straight away was making her presence felt, and points from Grace O’Brien, Keely Lenihan and Sinead Buckley helped settle things down for Tipp and in the 26th minute super sub Caoimhe Purdue got Tipp’s first goal and points from Orla O’Dwyer & Grace O’Brien before the break put Tipp into a commanding position with the half time score reading 1-07/1-02 in favour of Tipperary.

Five minutes into the 2nd half Galway got their second goal and followed that up with a point but then Caoimhe Purdue got in for our second goal and six minutes later Orla O’Dwyer got our third goal and two minutes later added another point, and Sinead Meagher who battled hard all day also added 1-01 to close out the game for Tipperary.

Congratulations to management and all concerned and especially to the girls themselves being crowned All-Ireland champions is no more than they deserve for their hard work ,commitment and loyalty to the jersey and no doubt we will see more days like this in the future with this talented bunch of young ladies.

U14 Blitz

Our U14 girls travelled down to Ennis last Monday to compete in their second blitz of the season conditions were terrible and well done to both sets of panels who gave their all on the day.

The B team made it to the semi final but unlucky to loose out to Galway and the A team were in hard luck  in a couple of games to loose by a single point and draw another , hard luck to both teams but well done on the effort it cant of been easy to play camogie on what was a very wet and windy day.
