Liberty Insurance Senior Camogie Championship
Tipperary 0-14 Dublin 2-08

Tipperary took on Dublin in the fourth round of the All Ireland senior championship last Saturday afternoon in the camogie grounds the Ragg and unlucky not to come away with the win.

The girls went into the break with a three point lead at half time with the score board reading Tipp 0-08 Dublin 1-02 but in the second half Dublin got a second goal and try as they might Tipp couldn’t break down the Dublin defence to get in for a goal of their own and at the end of full time the game finished a draw.

Intermediate Munster Final

Tipperary v Cork

Best of luck to our intermediate team as they take on Cork in the Intermediate Munster final on Wednesday evening 13th July in Bruff GAA grounds Limerick @ 7.30pm. All support would be greatly appreciated.

U16 A Championship
Tipperary 2-07 Cork 0-13

Our U16 girls travelled down to Cork last Friday evening for the first round of the championship and came away with a draw.

At half time the girls had a two point lead with the score board reading Tipp 2-02 Cork 0-06 and in the second half with both sides really going for it it was action from one end to the other with the game finishing a draw it was probably the fairest result and we look forward to the next game against Galway next Friday evening 15th July in the camogie grounds the Ragg and we wish team and management the best of luck in that game.

U16 B Championship
Tipperary 0-04 Antrim 2-10

Hard luck to the girls who came up against a much stronger Antrim team in the second round of the championship and we wish the girls the best of luck as they travel to Cork next Friday evening for their 3rd round game of the championship.

U14 Blitz

Last Saturday our U14 panels travelled up to Portmarnock for the Dublin blitz and they girls were fantastic, both our A&B panels reached their respective finals with the A’S beating Kilkenny, Wexford, Limerick and Dublin to reach their final where they took on Cork in what was a very exciting game and at the end of full time it finished a draw but unfortunately in extra time Cork came away with the win but the girls can be very proud of themselves they were brilliant all day and just in hard luck at the end.

The B’s also did fantastic beating Meath, Kildare, Derry and Waterford to meet Cork in the final where it was heartbreak for the girls loosing by a single point in a game that they were winning up to the last minute but unfortunately Cork got in for a goal which gave them a one point win, but again the girls can be very proud of themselves they were fantastic all day and both panels did the jersey proud so well done to all concerned and a special thanks to the parents that travelled up for the blitz and supported the girls all day.

Tipp FM Sponsorship
Tipperary camogie is delighted to announce that Tipp FM is the new sponsor of the U16 A panel, the new jersey was launched in the camogie grounds last Tuesday evening and representing Tipp FM at the launch was General manager of the radio station Susan Murphy who told us that she was very proud to be involved with camogie in Tipperary and especially with a talented bunch of young ladies like the U16’s who hopefully will continue up through the ranks and one day be wearing the senior jersey.

We were delighted to have Susan with us on the night and especially to have such a big brand name such as Tipp FM as a sponsor of one of our teams with the radio station playing it’s part in promoting sport in the county with two top sports shows on Monday with Extra Time presented by Ronan Quirke and straight talk on Fridays with Jackie Cahill and extensive coverage given at the weekends Susan says that they are really taking their responsibility seriously in ensuring that they are giving the best coverage that they can to as many sports as possible.

U12 C Final
Borris-Ileigh 4-03 Moneygall 0-01

Congratulations to Borris-Ileigh on been crowned U12 champions last Tuesday evening in the camogie grounds, this was a very entertaining final with the Borris girls just having too much fire power for Moneygall with players like Dani Ryan and Katie Fitzgerald just to mention a few, We are sure to see some of these young ladies wearing the Tipp jersey in the not too distant future well done to all concerned.
