U16 Hurling
The South U16 Hurling started last week in the various grades.
In the A , St Marys defeated Cj Kickhams Mullinahone, while in the local derby Ballingarry got the better of Killenaule
In Round 2 of the U16A , Killenaule host Mullinahone on Monday July 21st and St Marys host Ballingarry on Tuesday July 22nd.
In the B grade two results of note were Carrick Swans who had a big win over Cahir and Ballylooby / Fr Sheehys defeat of Clerihan. Swan then followed up this victory by travelling to Grangemockler a few days later to defeat the home side.
In Round 2 of the U16B , to be played on Monday July 21st and Tuesday July 22nd, Moyle Rovers host Anner Gaels, Grangemockler Ballyneale host cahir, Carrick Swan take on Kilsheelan Kilcash, Skeheenarinky/Newcastle play Ballylooby / Fr Sheehys and Clerihan are at home to Carrick Davins.
U14 Hurling
In the A grade last week , Ballingarry travelled to Newcastle to take on Skeheenarinky/Newcastle and recorded a large win, while in Clonmel on the same night Carrick swan recorded a large victory over St Marys. Cahir had a narrow win over Moyle Rovers in a exciting tie.
In the B grade, Cj Kickhams Mullinahone came back from a early deficit against Clonmel og , to come out on the right side of the scoreline, and thus recording three wins in a row. Grangemockler Ballyneale defeated Ballylooby /Fr Sheehys by 2 points.
In the C Grade Fethard and St Patrick’s played out a exciting game , with Fethard coming out on top by 4 points.
U12 Hurling.
The U12 Hurling championship also started in various grades last week. Keep a eye on fixtures.
Congrats to the players and mentors from the South Division who were involved with the County U14, U15 and U16 Football teams in Munster Competitions recently. Two sides took part at U14 in Waterford, the U15s won the Shield in Cork, while the U16s had a great victory in Limerick.
Football Shields
The U14 Football shield takes place on Saturday July 26th in Ballylooby at 1.30 between Newcastle/Ballyporeen and Ballylooby/ Fr Sheehys.
The U16 Shield semi finals and Final also take place in Ballylooby the same day. The semi finals at 12 between Cahir and Anner Gaels and Clerihan V Kilsheelan Kilcash. The final takes place at 1.30. A great day of football in store.
The Kelloggs Cul Camps are taking place all around South Tipperary in the coming weeks , we wish all children a enjoyable experience.
