Hibernian Inn North Tipperary Senior Hurling
Congratulations to Nenagh Eire Og and Burgess who reached this year’s North Tipperary senior hurling final after they overcame Borris-Ileigh and Kilruane MacDonaghs in the semi finals last Sunday in MacDonagh Park. Burgess won by 1-16 to 0-17 and their success earns them a place in the North final for the second time following their appearance in 2008 against Kildangan. Nenagh Eire Og, no strangers to North finals are back in the final for the first time in five years since they defeated Portroe in the 125 final.

The date for the North final is not fixed permanently but sometime in the weekend September 14 is the likely outcome.

Top Scorers
Burgess sharpshooter Stephen Murray is the clear leader in the scoring list in this years Hibernian Inn North Tipperary senior hurling championship. With a total of 0-43 he is eleven points clear of Brian O’Meara Kilruane MacDonaghs. John Sheedy is third with Conor Kenny fourth on 6-9, the division’s top scorer from play.

Denis Meats North Tipp Intermediate Hurling Championship
Round 3
Well done to Ballinahinch who defeated Shannon Rovers in the third and final game of the Denis Meats North Tipperary Intermediate Hurling championship last Saturday evening in Cloughjordan. Ballinahinch 2-14 Shannon Rovers 1-16 was the final score Ballinahinch will bridge a 27 year gap when they take on Newport in the final. That final will be played on the second weekend of September.

The Watch Centre North Tipp Jun ‘A’ HC
Knockshegowna’s reign as North champions is over after they lost to Roscrea in the quarter final last Friday. In the other quarter final, Nenagh Eire Og had a two point win over Toomevara in a high scoring encounter.
As a result the semi final pairings are as follows:
Kildangan v Roscrea Fri 29th Aug
Kilruane MacDonaghs v Nenagh Eire Og sat 30th Aug

The remaining games, Ballina v Toomevara and Kildangan v Lorrha will be played this weekend and they decide the group positions with a place in the semi finals up for grabs. Top three to knockout stages

Ger Gavin North Tipp Minor A Hurling
With Kilruane MacDonaghs losing to Nenagh Eire Og, the place is set for the semi finals. They are Newport Gaels v Borris-Ileigh; Toomevara v Nenagh Eire Og. Both games will be played next Wednesday September 3 and the North Minor A final is scheduled for Saturday September 6. Please note.

Ballina won back the North Tipp Minor A Football title following a 3-9 to 2-9 win over Newport Gaels in the final at Dolla last Sunday evening

The North Tipp Minor B football Final was played in Puckane last Friday evening and Silvermines emerged winners over Borrisokane on a scoreline of 1-10 to 2-6. Congratulations Silvermines.
