Hibernian Inn North Tipp SHC Semi Finals
Do you know that only one of this years semi finalists were in last years’ penultimate stage. Borris-Ileigh lost to Silvermines in last year’s semi final while Kildangan had a win over Toomevara.

This year’s pairing sees Nenagh Éire Óg v Borris-Ileigh and Burgess v Kilruane MacDonaghs.

Borris-Ileigh and Nenagh Eire Og are no stranger to semi finals as this will be Borris-Ileigh’s eleventh semi final appearance since 2000 while Nenagh Eire Og’s will take part in their ninth in the same period. Having appeared in the 2008 and 2010 penultimate stage, Burgess will take the field for the third semi final against a Kilruane side that last reached the semi final in 1994. The semi finals will be played on week ending 24th August.

Denis Meats North Tipp Intermediate Hurling Championship
Round 2
The third game in the Denis Meats North Tipperary Intermediate Hurling championship will see Shannon Rovers take on Ballinahinch in Portroe on August 23rd. For all intents and purposes this is in fact a semi final. Either way a win is important although a draw would be sufficient for Shannon Rovers. There is never much between the teams and since Ballinahinch’s arrival to Intermediate they met six times with honours even. Ballinahinch have won their most recent encounters in 2011 and 2012 and they also won when the sides met in this year’s county intermediate championship.
Recent North IHC Results
2004: Shannon Rovers 3-13 Ballinahinch 2-14
2006: Shannon Rovers 0-17 Ballinahinch 1-13
2009: Ballinahinch 0-14 Shannon Rovers 1-10
2010: Shannon Rovers 2-15 Ballinahinch 0-15
2011: Ballinahinch 2-14 Shannon Rovers 2-12
2012: Ballinahinch 2-20 Shannon Rovers 2-10

P.S. The North championship results of the games so far:
