U12
The curtain has finally come down on the U12 season with the county finals last week and what a performance by the North Tipperary representatives. After a hectic season , North Tipp clubs have come back from the County Finals with three out of four titles with Kilruane, Silvermines and Templederry all tasting success. In the A grade Kilruane accounted for Knockavilla whilst in B Silvermines beat Rosegreen. Meanwhile last Friday evening Templederry were much too strong for Sean Treacy’s. Finally in D Grade, unfortunately Clonoulty were winners over the Roscrea third team.

The U 14 hurling championship has also progressed to the County Semi stage this weekend with Toomevara meeting Moycarkey in A Grade. Last Tuesday evening we saw Kilruane edge out Shannon Rovers by a single point in an epic North Final. Kilruane will now meet Moyne/Templetuohy in B Grade. Finally Portroe will meet the Moycarkey second team in the C competition. Best of luck to all from CNG Thuaidh.

On Monday evening last , Nenagh Eire Óg caused a shock with the size of the victory over Roscrea, winning 3-18 to 1-3. Nenagh will now meet Kilruane in the semi and Toomevara will play Kildangan in the second semi. These fixtures will be arranged at a CCC meeting this week and are very dependent on the outcome of the minor matches this week. In U16B, Borrisokane and Borrisileigh came through their respective semi finals last week with wins over Burgess and Moneygall. The U16B North Final will take place on Tuesday next at 6:30 pm, venue TBC

U16 All Ireland
Well done to the strong North Tipp contingent involved in the annual Tipp Supporters U16 All Ireland, last weekend which was held in West Tipperary. In the B Competition, coach Cormac McGrath from Ballinahinch and players Adam Carey from Nenagh, Barry Hogan & Declan McGrath from Kildangan, Drew Boland from Burgess, Mark Daniels from Silvermines, Shane Fletcher from Roscrea and Cian Flanagan & Corie Mooney from Newport all represented North Tipp with distinction on the County Team. They recorded wins over Cork and Clare to win the group and then beat Waterford in the semi. They then met Clare again in the final had had a great win scoring 1:14 to 0:3. Meanwhile in the A competition, Kildangan coach Seamus Gleeson and players David Kelly (Ballina), Jack Delahunty & Kealan Floyd ( Newport), Jake Ryan ( Toomevara), Cian Darcy ( Kilruane ) Gerry Kelly ( Borrisileigh ) Adam Hogan ( Moneygall) and Kieran Kelly ( Kildangan ) performed really well in a group of death with only one team qualifying. They won the first game over Laois 0-9 to 0-6, lost to Cork in the second by 4 pts and later lost to a very strong Kilkenny by a single point. They then met Galway in the All Ireland A shield competition which they won well on a score of 0-10 to 0-4. Well done to all involved with both teams.
