Feile Hurling
Commiseration’s to both Toomevara and Borrisileigh who were both beaten in the County Feile Hurling Semis last weekend. Toomevara met a very strong Moycarkey side whilst Borrisileigh were narrowly beaten by Moyne. Meanwhile, well done to Evan Murphy who won the Feile U14 Poc Fada.

Long Puck
Well done to Kevin Shinners who won the North Final of the U16 long puck on Monday last in Toomevara. Kevin will now represent North Tipp in the County Long Puck Final.

U12 Football
Toomevara was buzzing on Monday last when all four football grades finals were held. In A, Kilruane had a narrow victory over Inane 2-7 to 2-5. In B, Ballina beat Silvermines 4-5 to 3-1. In C, Lorrha overcome Burgess in an epic game 2-1 to 1-1 after ET and in D Ballina had their second win of the day when they beat Inane 2-5 to 2-0. Well done to all as they progress to the County Semis next Saturday.

U14 Football
The U14 football championship is heading for the finale as Eire ᅮg and Inane Rvrs will contest the A Final. Meanwhile in B, we now know the semi pairings as Ballina will meet Newport Gaels and Kilruane will play Portroe this Weds evening. Both U14 North Finals will take place next week as the venue and date will be published shortly.

U16 Football
Next Saturday evening will see the North U16 A and B finals take place in Portroe. First up at 5:30 pm we have Ballina versus either Toomevara or Borrisokane who play this Wed’s. Then at 7pm, Newport Gaels will play Eire ᅮg in the A final. Extra time will be employed in the event of a draw.

Roger Ryan Tournament
This annual U15 tournament took place on Monday last in Toomevara when North Tipp played out two fine games against the Mid in the semi and then against the West in the final. Well done to manager Christy Morgan and the coaches who had this team very well prepared.

U16 Munster Championship
North Tipp U16’s travelled to Cork on Saturday last where the met Seandn and East Clare in the Munster Championship. The North won their first game against Seandn 3-11 to 2-13 and later lost to East Clare 3-15 to 3-10. Manager Anthony Floyd was happy with both displays especially against E Clare who had inflicted a heavy defeat on the North earlier in the year. These players will now go on to be part of the A and B county squads.

Hurling Championship
As the football completes, talk has already switched to the hurling Championship and the CCC has already made public the start up dates. U12 Hurling will commence on 23rd May. U14A will commence on 18th June with B Grade starting on 28th May. U16 A + B will throw in on 30th June once the exams are completed.
