U12
Toomevara was the place to be on Sat last when, on a glorious day we were treated to a feast of hurling as all four U12 North finals were held together. Starting at 11:30 with the D Final, Roscrea 3rd team had the narrowest of wins over Toomevara 2nds, winning by a single point. Next up was the C final, which turned out to be another cracker, as again Templederry had only one point to spare over a gallant Shannon Rovers. In the B Final, Silvermines eventually overcame a huge effort from Lorrha whilst in the A decider Kilruane proved that goals win matches when they found the net 5 times against Roscrea. Well done to all seven clubs that participated on the day and the very best of luck to Kilruane, Silvermines, Templederry and Roscrea as they now go on to meet The Mid Tipp opposition in the County semis. Special thanks must go to our hosts Toomevara who had their pitch in great condition for the finals and to our Piper who lead out each team.

U14
The U14A pool stages were completed last week and turned out to be very even as we must have a play off between Toomevara and Kildangan to decide who tops the group. There must also be a playoff between Roscrea and Nenagh to decide 3rd and 4th places. The play offs take place this Weds/Thurs with the North Semis on next Wednesday. Meanwhile in B Grade, the pool stages have also completed after a mammoth nine rounds which saw Borrisileigh and Shannon Rovers automatically qualify for the semis by virtue of the fact that they finished as the top two. Meanwhile this Wednesday evening, we have the quarter finals to decide who will join Borrisileigh and Shannon Rovers in the semi’s as Ballina will play Newport with the winners progressing to meet Shannon Rovers whilst Kilruane will play Moneygall/Templederry with the winners meeting Borrisileigh.

U16
In A this week we had wins for Kilruane over Roscrea, Toomevara over Newport and Nenafh over Kildangan. Next Monday is the final pool round which will see Kilruane v Nenagh, Newport v Kildangan and Roscrea v Toomevara. The quarter final is scheduled for Weds week which will involve the 4th and 5th placed team as the top 3 go straight to the semi. Meanwhile in B last Monday we saw wins for Ballina over Burgess, Shannon Rvrs over Portroe whilst Silvermines and Moneygall played out a 3-13 apiece draw. Borrisokane will play Borrisileigh on Tuesday evening. Next Monday in Rd 6 we have Ballina v Silvermines, Shannon Rovers v Borrisokane, Borrisileigh v Burgess and Moneygall v Portroe.
