U12
Two out three aint’t bad with the fourth yet to come ! On Saturday last our U12 Divisioanal Champions travelled to Littleton for the U12 County Finals. In A grade, Kilruane battled hard to overcome Knockavilla Kickhams 2-8 to 2-4. Later Silvermines had a comprehensive win over Rosegreen on a score of 4-13 to 2-3. Roscrea unfortunately met a stronger Clonoulty/Rossmore side in the D competition losing out . The remaining U12C final involving Templederry, will take place this Friday in Borrisileigh at 6:30pm. The CCC have mooted the idea of an U13 plate and any interested club should contact Marian asap.

U14
Puckane was the place to be last Saturday , when, on a glorious day Nenagh and Toomevara played a thriller in the U14 A North Final. This game went right down to the wire with Toomevara emerging deserving winners by just two points. Toomevara now progress to the County Semi on September 6th versus Mid Tipp opposition and hopefully further advance to the Co Final the following weekend. Meanwhile in B Grade the North Final will take place this Tuesday in Borrisokane between Kilruane and Shannon Rovers. Throw in at 6:30pm. The CCC have also organised a plate and shield competition for those teams that did not qualify for the knock out stages. Both will commence this Wednesday with Newport hosting Borrisileigh whilst Silvermines have a bye in the shield. Simultaenously in the Plate competition Burgess are at home to Ballina and Moneygall/Templederry will host Borrisokane.

U16
We have also reached the buisness end of the season in U16 age grade with the final Grade A group places now achieved after a three way play off. Toomevara and Kilruane had already reached the semi finals automatically having topped the group. Kildangan , Nenagh and latecomers Roscrea were embroiled in a three way play off to fill the last semi spot and decide the quarter final place. Following a series of games between the three clubs, Kildangan emerged the stronger beating Roscrea and Nenagh, securing the semi spot. Roscrea and Nenagh will now contest the quarter final next Monday evening in Nenagh at 6:30pm with ET if necessary. Meanwhile in Grade B, the semi finals took place last Monday evening with Borrisokane overcoming Burgess 4-12 to 3-10 and Borrisileigh edging out Moneygall 0-13 to 0-9. This means that Borrisokane will play Borrisileigh in the North B Final on Saturday Sept 6th at 11am.

U16 All Ireland
The Tipperary Supporters Club U16 All Ireland will take place next Saturday in West Tipperary venues. Tipperary have a hard task ahead as they will meet Kilkenny and Cork in A grade with only one team progressing. In the B competition they are grouped with Clare, Cork and Antrim with again only one team progressing. Best of luck to all involved, especially the North Tipp contingent.
