U12
This Saturday we see U12 hurling action progressing to the County Semi final stage when our four Northern representatives will meet Mid Tipp opposition. At A grade, Kilruane will meet either Drom or JK Brackens in Moneygall whilst in B Silvermines will meet Holycross at 5pm in Templederry. Meanwhile in C grade, Templederry will play Loughmore at 1pm in Toomevara and at 2:15pm Roscrea will meet Drom also in Toomevara. Best of luck to all four North Tipp teams.

U14
Last week in A we had one semi with Toomevara overcoming Roscrea 1-7 to 0-6 whilst the second semi between Nenagh and Kilruane had to be postponed because of the weather. This will now take place on Sat in Puckane. The A final is fixed for Saturday week. Meanwhile in B , both semis took place and were close encounters. In the first, Kilruane overcame Borrisileigh 3-9 to 1-6 and in the second, Shannon Rovers beat Newport Gaels 5-9 to 3-4. This sets up a final between Kilruane and Shannon Rovers which, will no doubt be keenly contested. This final will also take place Saturday week as part of a double header with the A final.

U16
There will be a right dogfight to see who will contest the quarter final following Roscrea’s win over Nenagh on Monday night. The final pool game on Thursday night between Newport and Roscrea will decide who joins Nenagh and Kildangan to play off for the quarter final stage. There will be a CCC meeting on Thursday night after this game to arrange the playoffs and quarter final but all clubs will have to understand that the North semi will be played on August 25th so a very tight schedule will be a must. Toomevara and Kilruane will be happy in the knowledge that they have already made the semi finals. Meanwhile in B Grade there are three outstanding pool games which must be played this Wednesday involving Portroe v Burgess, Ballina v Silvermines and Shannon Rvrs v Borrisokane. These last pool games will define the U16B final table positions. Moneygall and Borrisokane have already reached the semi’s whilst all six remaining teams can make the quarters with Shannon Rvrs, Borrisileigh and Silvermines looking safe.
