Centenary Agri Mid Senior Hurling Final:
Well done to Loughmore Castleiney who won the Mid Senior hurling title following their extra time victory over neighbours Drom Inch. This game was definitely a game of two halves as there was a very strong wind blowing into the town end and both teams seemed to play better when having to face the wind. The game was a evenly fought contest and there was never more than a score or two between the sides. Captain Aidan McGrath collected the cup on behalf of the victorious side from Mid Chairman Joe Kennedy, Secretary Sally Young, Centenary CEO Joe Kerrigan and Chairman of the Co-Op Jim Russell. Liam McGrath was awarded the Tom O Hara Man of the Match plague. Both sides now go forward to the county knockout series and we wish both of them well.

Roadstone Mid Intermediate Hurling Final:
Well done to Thurles Sarsfields who defeated Drom Inch by 3-13 to 1-16 in the Mid Intermediate hurling final in Templetuohy on Sunday last. Like the senior decider, the wind played a major part in the game and it was the old saying that “ goals win games” which turned out to be true in this final. Thurles Sarsfields now go forward to the county series while it’s the end of the road for Drom-Inch. Cathal Moloney was awarded Man of the Match.
