Mid Tipperary GAA Scene – October 3rd 2016

County Action:
There were numerous clubs involved in county action this weekend. Thurles Sarsfields defeated Borrisoleigh to progress to the county semi final of the Senior hurling championship while neighbours Drom-Inch were defeated by Kiladangan. In the Intermediate hurling championship, Thurles Sarsfields defeated Galtee Rovers while Gortnahoe Glengoole were defeated by Newport. In the Intermediate football quarter finals, Moyne Templetuohy defeated Rockwell Rovers while Moycarkey Borris were defeated by Golden Kilfeakle.

County Junior A hurling Quarter finals:
Well done to Loughmore Castleiney who qualified for the semi finals following their 1-15 to 1-10 victory over Clonoulty Rossmore

County Minor Semi finals:
Well done to JK Brackens who qualified for the County Minor A hurling final following their tough victory over Knockavilla Kickhams. They will meet St Mary’s Clonmel who defending champions in the decider. Meanwhile Gortnahoe Glengoole were beaten in a great game against Cashel King Cormacs following extra time.

Jim and Anne Kennedy Mid Junior A football Final
This Saturday sees the Mid Junior A football final between Loughmore Castleiney and Gortnahoe Glengoole which takes place at 5pm in Templetuohy.

Mid Junior B hurling Championship:
Last weekend seen both our Junior B Hurling semi finals played and resulted in wins for Gortnahoe Glengoole over Clonakenny and Upperchurch Drombane over Boherlahan Dualla
