Mid Tipperary GAA Scene – October 10th 2016

County Hurling Action:
Well done to Thurles Sarsfields who have qualified for the 2016 Tipperary Water County Senior hurling final where they will take on Kiladangan on Sunday next in Semple Stadium. We wish them well as the division’s representatives.

In the Intermediate hurling championship Thurles Sarsfields progressed to the semi finals following a hard fought quarter final victory over Ballinahinch following extra time. They now meet Sean Treacys in Dundrum on Sunday.

Meanwhile in the Junior A hurling, both Loughmore Castleiney and Holycross Ballycahill have progressed to the semi finals where they will meet Ballybacon Grange and Kiladangan respectively.

Next Sunday will be a historic day for the JK Brackens club as they play in their first Minor A hurling final in Semple Stadium which precedes the senior final. We wish them best of luck in the final and hope that it will be a great day for the Mid division!

County Football Action:
This weekend sees Mid Intermediate Football champions Moyne Templetuohy take on Fethard in the County semi final which takes place in Boherlahan. On Sunday Mid Senior champs Loughmore Castleiney face Galtee Rovers in the County Semi final which takes place in Leahy Park Cashel

Mid Junior A Football Final:
Well done to Gortnahoe Glengoole who were crowned Mid Junior A football champions for the first time following their victory over Loughmore Castleiney in Killea last weekend. They now go forward to face Clonoulty Rossmore on Wednesday week 19th in Dr Morris Park.
