Mid Minor A Football Championship:
The final pairing is now known for the Mid Minor A Football final following Loughmore Castleiney and JK Brackens Og semi final victories over Na Sairsealaigh Og and Holycross Ballycahill respectively. Loughmore Castleiney had just the minimum to spare in their clash with Na Sairsealaigh Og as it finished 1-12 to 1-11 while JK Brackens Og emerged victors by a score of 5-10 to 1-8 over Holycross Ballycahill.

Mid Junior A Hurling Leagues
In Division 1 of the hurling league there were 4 games played as Moyne Templetuohy and Holycross Ballycahill played two rounds in order to complete a previous round. Moyne were defeated by Holycross Ballycahill on Friday evening and suffered similar fate at the hands of Drom Inch on Sunday evening while Thurles Sarsfields defeated JK Brackens and Loughmore Castleiney overcame Holycross Ballycahill. There are 4 games which have to be played yet and are fixed for this weekend and the following week. At the moment, Loughmore Castleiney and Holycross Ballycahill top the group with 6 points with 1 game each to play, Thurles Sarsfields have 5 points with one game to play while Moyne Templetuohy and JK Brackens have 2 games to play but neither can qualify for the final.

In Division 2 of the league there were wins for Gortnahoe Glengoole, Upperchurch Drombane and Thurles Gaels over Boherlahan Dualla, Moycarkey Borris and Thurles Sarsfields respectively which now leaves Gortnahoe Glengoole and Upperchurch Drombane joint top on 6 points from 4 games while Moycarkey Borris and Thurles Gaels are on 4 points with the latter having a game in hand. There is a full round of games this weekend which shall all but finalise the final pairing.

In Division 3, Clonakenny ended the league round robin with a 100% record following their 2-12 to 2-9 victory over Knock and thus booked their place in the final while the second spot will be known following the Thurles Gaels and Killea game which takes place on Saturday. A victory for Thurles Gaels will see them leapfrog Gortnahoe Glengoole and take the other final spot while a Killea victory.

County U21 A Football final:
Commiserations to Drom-Inch who were defeated by Clonmel Commercials in the county final of the Under 21 A football final on Saturday last in Cashel by 4-7 to 1-7. This was the Clonmel side’s third title in a row but it was a spirited performance by the Mid champions but it was not to be their day.

Centenary Agri Mid Senior Hurling Championship Launch Night:
On Wednesday night last, the Centenary Agri Mid Senior Hurling Championship was launched in the Centenary Thurles premises in Thurles and was attended by a fine crowd with nearly all clubs represented on the night. With the new structures in place in the County championship, the Centenary Agri Mid championship will be the last remaining avenue for clubs to win the Dan Breen Cup in 2016. The championship is due to swing into action on Sunday 29th May with Moycarkey Borris up against JK Brackens in Holycross at 3.30 while on Saturday 4th June Loughmore Castleiney will face Upperchurch Drombane in the Ragg at 7pm. While on Sunday 5th Moyne Templetuohy meet Drom Inch in the preliminary round in Templemore at 7.30 with the winners facing 2015 winners Thurles Sarsfields.
