Centenary Agri Mid Senior Hurling Championship:
And then there were four…! Following the three remaining quarter finals played last weekend, the last four teams are now known and Drom-Inch, Loughmore Castleiney and Holycross Ballycahill will join Moycarkey Borris in the draw for the semi finals. On Saturday evening in the Ragg, a Cathal Barrett led Holycross Ballycahill side defeated Clonakenny by 8 points and later that evening Loughmore Castleiney inspired by the McGraths defeated Upperchurch Drombane by 11 points 2-23 to 1-15. On Sunday, in perhaps the tie of the round, there was a shock result as a Drom-Inch side minus county star Seamus Callanan knocked holders Thurles Sarsfields out of the Mid Championship.

Mid Junior Hurling Championships:
Last weekend seen the commencement of the Junior A and B hurling championships. In the Junior A group 2 there were victories for Drom Inch and JK Brackens over Moyne Templetuohy and Loughmore Castleiney respectively. While in the Junior B there were victories for Boherlahan Dualla and Moycarkey Borris over Knock and JK Brackens respectively while Thurles Sarsfields played out a draw with Killea.

Munster Senior Football Final:
Best of luck to the Tipperary Senior Football squad who face Kerry in the Munster Senior Football final in Killarney at 2pm on Sunday. This will be an uphill task especially given that the game is in Kerry’s backyard but no doubt if the Tipp lads give a full bodied and spirited effort they may not be far off a shock result. Adult Stand tickets are priced at €35 while terrace tickets are available for €25.Student’s/OAP: Purchase Adult tickets and receive a €10 concession at designated turnstiles prior to entry while Under 16’s are €5. Tickets are available at www.tickets.ie.

Munster Minor Hurling Semi final:
The Tipperary Minor Hurlers under the watchful eye of manager Liam Cahill and his selectors will play Cork in the Munster Championship Semi-Final in Pairc Ui Rinn at 7.30pm on Thursday week next, June 30th, with the winners to meet either Waterford or Limerick on Munster Final Day, July 10th. We wish Liam and his squad best of luck on Thursday and hope that we will have two teams in Munster finals on July 10th
