Kilsheelan Kilcash G.A.A Club held a local launch of the 2015/16 county board draw in Nagles on Friday night last. The draw was attended by draw promoters, players and members, club officers and committee members. Tipperary county Board secretary Tim Floyd who attended and launched the draw for the club stressed the importance of the parish G.A.A club and its contribution to the community and sporting life of the parish. He said that participation and winning with your club is the most satisfying experience for any player and he praised the club for the great work being done at all levels to promote our games. He said that with the talent presently available to the club they are well positioned to enjoy a period of great success in the coming years. He stressed the importance of keeping the club on a sound financial footing and said that a strong performance in support for the new draw would help the club to provide the coaching structures required and would enable the club over a period of years to provide the infrastructure to cater for an increasing number of boys and girls wanting to participate in our games.

Club chairman David Power stressed the importance of strong parish support for the draw. He said the target for the parish was 500 members. He said the Tipperary draw was the best in the country in terms of prizes with a €5000, 000 prize fund. In 2014 apart from the club commission €20000 was won in prizes by Kilsheelan Kilcash draw members. With increased commission in this year’s draw the benefits would allow the club make progress on developing its field and facilities as outlined in its strategic plan. He said the club were blessed to have some of the most talented players in the country available to them at the moment and it was important that as well as facilities that the highest standards possible in terms of coaching and preparing teams was available at all levels. He thanked all those who supported the draw down the years and he praised the work done by the promoters and wished them well as they embarked on the present campaign. He thanked Tim Floyd for launching the draw and hoped it would be a huge success throughout the county.
