ASH PROGRAMME
The launch of the ASH (Advanced School of Hurling) programme sponsored by Thurles Fresh Milk took place in The Dome Semple Stadium last Saturday. ASH is an enhancement of the development squad programme and development squad players in both hurling and football and their parents attended the event. Among the speakers at the launch were Catherine Logan (National Dairy Council) who gave a presentation on the importance of nutrition for sports people and former Tipperary goalkeeper Brendan Cummins who spoke about the importance of having a proper lifestyle for aspiring young GAA players.
The ASH programme will include advanced coaching expert inputs into Divisional and County hurling squads to include goalkeeping clinics, hurling wall ball sessions, defence coaching and forward coaching. Expert coaches will be utilised.
