West Minor A Hurling Championship:
The semi-finals of the Dundrum House West Minor A Hurling Championship take place this Thursday night Oct 1st. Both games are fixed a 7.30pm start with extra-time to be played in the event of a draw.

Clonoulty/Rossmore will take on Arravale/Eire Og in New Inn. Clonoulty/R finished top of the group on 8pts. Arravale Rovers finished fourth in the group on 2pts. When the sides met in the group phase of the competition Clonoulty/R had a comprehensive victory over Thursday’s semi-final opponents.

In the other semi-final Galtee/Golden take on Emly/Treacys in Clonoulty. Both sides finished on 4pts in the group. They did not meet in the group phase as it was already determined they would meet in the semi-final.

West U21 Hurling Championship
The O’Dwyer Steel West U21A and Ollies Bar West U21B Hurling championships have provisionally been pencilled in to begin on the weekend of 10th/11th of October. Fixtures will be run on a continuous basis from this weekend.

County Senior Football Championship
Congratulations to Aherlow Gaels and Galtee Rovers who qualified for the quarter finals of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Football Championship with victories over Thomas MacDonaghs and Cahir respectively at the weekend. All four West teams have now qualified for the last eight with Arravale Rovers and Eire Og having secured their place as group winners.

The draw for the quarter finals has now taken place:
Arravale Rovers will take on Killenaule in Boherlahan this Saturday Oct 3rd at 3pm in Boherlahan. Arravale Rovers go into the game unbeaten in the West and County championship so far in 2015.
Galtee Rovers will take on Moyle Rovers the following day Sunday Oct 4th at 1.30pm in Cashel. The teams met in the preliminary quarter finals last year with Moyle Rovers advancing by the minimum.
There is an all-West clash as Eire Og Annacarty Donohill come up against Aherlow Gaels in what is a repeat of last year’s West semi-final in which Eire Og advanced. This game has been fixed for Wednesday Oct 7th in New Inn with a 7.30pm throw in.
The final quarter final sees reigning County champions Loughmore/Castleiney up against South finalists Clonmel Commercials at 3pm on Sunday Oct 4th in Cashel.
Extra-time to be played in all games in the event of a draw.

County Senior Hurling Championship
Commiserations to Eire Og Annacarty Donohill and Clonoulty/Rossmore who exited the Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Hurling championship at the weekend, thus ending West involvement for 2015, after being defeated by Kilruane McDonaghs and Thurles Sarsfields respectively. Match Reports

County Intermediate Hurling Championship
In the Preliminary quarter finals of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Intermediate Hurling championship Golden/Kilfeacle advanced to the quarter finals of the competition with victory over Carrick Davins on Sunday last. Their reward is a quarter final against North champions Newport who are unbeaten in both the North and County championships so far this year. This game goes ahead in Drombane this Saturday Oct 4th at 3pm.

In the other Preliminary quarter final Rockwell Rovers conceded to Clonakenny. Lattin/Cullen Gaels will now meet Clonakenny in the quarter finals this coming Sunday Oct 4th at 1pm in Holycross. The sides last met in the group phase of the competition in 2013 with Lattin/Cullen Gaels coming out on top by three points.

West champions Cashel King Cormacs will play their preliminary quarter final against St Marys this Wednesday night September 30th in Dr Morris Park. Throw in is fixed for 7.30pm. The winners will play Thurles Sarsfields in the last eight a week later on Oct 7th in Clonoulty with a 7.30pm throw in. Should Cashel King Cormacs advance it will be their second meeting with Thurles Sarsfields this season as the sides already met in the group stages with Thurles Sarsfields coming out on top by three points.
Extra-time will be played in all games in the event of a draw.

County Intermediate Football Championship
West involvement in the Clean Ireland Recycling County Intermediate Football championship is over for 2015. West champions Rockwell Rovers were narrowly beaten by South runners up Clonmel Og while Cashel King Cormacs conceded to Mullinahone.

County Junior A Hurling Championship
There was mixed results for our two west teams in action in the quarter finals of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Junior A Hurling Championship at the weekend. West Champions Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams were defeated by South runners up Ballylooby/Castlegrace while beaten West finalists Clonoulty/Rossmore knocked out South champions St. Patricks in the other quarter final.
Clonoulty/Rossmore have now been paired against Ballylooby/Castlegrace in the semi-finals of the competition. This game has been fixed for Cahir this Saturday Oct 3rd at 3pm. Extra-time to be played in the event of a draw.

County Junior A Football Championship
The remaining quarter finals in the Clean Ireland Recycling County Junior A Football championship have been fixed for this Sunday. At 2pm in Borrisoleigh, Gortnahoe/Glengoole play Newport while at the same time Ballina play Thurles Sarsfields in Dolla. Golden/Kilfeacle and Emly await the winners in the semi-finals.
