County Junior A Football Championship:
Congratulations to Golden/Kilfeacle and Emly who have qualified for the semi-finals of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Junior A Football Championship following victories over Newcastle and Ballingarry respectively Saturday last.

County Senior Football Championship:
There are two West teams in action in the preliminary quarter finals of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Football Championship. This Saturday September 26th at 5pm in Holycross 2010 champions Aherlow Gaels will take on 2011 champions Thomas MacDonaghs. The following day Galtee Rovers go head to head with neighbours Cahir in Golden with a 3pm throw in. Extra-time will be played in both games in the event of a draw.

County Senior Hurling Championship:
There are two West teams in action in the quarter finals of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Hurling Championship. First up this Saturday are Eire Og Annacarty Donohill who take on North side Kilruane MacDonaghs. The game is fixed for 3.30pm in Semple Stadium as the second part of a double header.

On Sunday Clonoulty/Rossmore will have to dethrone last year’s county champions Thurles Sarsfields if they are to advance to the semi-finals of the competition. This game also forms the second part of a double header in Semple Stadium and throw in is fixed for 3.30pm. Extra-time will be played in both games in the event of a draw.

County Intermediate Hurling Championship:
In Group three playoff Cashel King Cormacs were defeated by Shannon Rovers by three points on Saturday last in Borrisoleigh. Three West teams are in action in the Clean Ireland Recycling County Intermediate Hurling Championship preliminary quarter finals in the next few days.

On Sunday next September 29th Rockwell Rovers will take on Clonakenny in Littleton with a 12 noon throw in and in Cahir Golden/Kilfeacle and Carrick Davins meet with a 12 noon throw in. West champions Cashel King Cormacs preliminary quarter final against St Marys will take place on Wednesday week September 30th in Dr Morris Park. Throw in is fixed for 7.30pm. Extra-time will be played in both games in the event of a draw.

County Intermediate Football Championship:
Following the completion of the South championship the line-up for the remaining quarter finals of the competition are now complete. Rockwell Rovers will play Clonmel Og this Wednesday September 23rd in Newcastle with a 7.30pm throw. Extra-time to be played in the event of a draw. In the other quarter final which was also fixed for Wednesday night, Cashel King Cormacs have conceded to Mullinahone.

County Junior A Hurling Championship:
West Champions Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams will take on South runners up Ballylooby Castlegrace in the quarter final of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Junior A Hurling Championship. This game is fixed for this Sunday September 27th in New Inn with a 4pm throw in. Meanwhile West runners up Clonoulty/Rossmore will take on South Champions St Patricks in Boherlahan at 1pm this Saturday September 26th. Extra-time to be played in the event of a draw in both games.

Tipperary Minor Football Team:
Commiserations to our West representatives and to the Tipperary Minor football team and management who were defeated by Kerry in the All Ireland Minor Football Final in Croke Park on Sunday last.
