West Senior Hurling Championship:
Clonoulty/Rossmore and Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams meet in the 87th running of the Tipperary Co-Op sponsored West Senior Hurling Championship Final on Sunday September 18th at 1.30pm in Leahy Park Cashel.
West Senior Hurling Final Preview

The finalists were decided by the two remaining group games which took place last week. On Wednesday last Eire Og Annacarty Donohill had the minimum to spare over Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams in Clonoulty. Match Report

That result meant the final pairing would come down to the last game on Sunday between Clonoulty/Rossmore and defending champions Eire Og Annacarty Donohill. It was Clonoulty/Rossmore who emerged here. Match Report

As all three teams finished level on two points the top two places were decided by score difference.

West Intermediate Hurling Championship:
The Tipperary Credit Union West Intermediate Hurling Championship final will take place this Sunday September 18th at 12 noon as a curtain raiser to the Senior Hurling Final. Sean Treacy’s will take on the winners of Lattin/Cullen Gaels and Golden/Kilfeacle.

It has been a busy week in the championship. On Wednesday night last Lattin/Cullen Gaels got the better of Galtee Rovers in their quarter final in Sean Treacy Park. Match Report

Also on Wednesday night in Annacarty Golden/Kilfeacle and Cappawhite finished all square in their quarter final. Match Report

They replayed on Sunday last in Dundrum and just a point separated the sides at full time in Golden/Kilfeacle’s favour. Match Report

The first of this year’s semi-finals took place on Saturday evening last in Sean Treacy Park as Sean Treacy’s defeated 2015 Cashel King Cormacs. Match Report

The result now means Cashel King Cormacs will be involved in the relegation play-offs.

The second of this year’s semi-finals goes ahead this Wednesday evening at 7.45pm in Clonoulty as Lattin/Cullen Gaels go up against Golden/Kilfeacle. There is a provision for extra-time in the event of a draw. It is a repeat of the 2014 final where a late goal from a Cathal Dillon free sent the title the ways of the Gaels.

Both sides bowed out at this stage last year and both will be looking to make a second final appearance in three years. Lattin/Cullen Gaels have already qualified for the knockout stages of the County but Golden/Kilfeacle must win the division to advance and to avoid the relegation play-offs.

And so to Sunday, Sean Treacys will be appearing in their first final since 2013 where they were defeated by Arravale Rovers. When Sean Treacys came up from Junior for the 2002 campaign they contested two Intermediate finals in a row, 2002 and 2003. They lost the 2002 final to Eire Og but claimed their maiden and only title in the 2003 final against Golden/Kilfeacle. They have contested the final on six previous occasions.
