West Junior B Football Championship:
Galtee Rovers will take on Cashel King Cormacs in this year’s Rea Clarke Hennessy West Junior B Football final in what will be the 21st running of the final. The final is fixed for Golden this Sunday November 15th with a 12 noon throw in. Extra-time will be played in the event of a draw.

It will be a first final meeting between the teams. Galtee Rovers will be appearing in their second final in a row having been defeated finalists last year. They avenged last year’s defeat to Eire Og when the sides met in this year’s semi-final. Galtee Rovers will be going for title number six in the grade having last won the competition in 2007 when they defeated Arravale Rovers in the final.

It will be Cashel’s third final appearance in four seasons. They were victorious in 2012 when they defeated Rockwell Rovers by a single point in what was their maiden title in the competition. Rockwell Rovers reversed that result a year later when the sides met in the decider again. Cashel came through this year’s semi-final over Rockwell Rovers after a replay by the bare minimum.
The winners will play Clonmel Commercials in the county semi-final.

West U21 Hurling Championship:
The O’Dwyer Steel West U21A Hurling championship continues this weekend. Cappawhite/Treacys and Clonoulty/Rossmore clash in Sean Treacy Park this Sunday November 15th with a 12 noon throw in. The winner of this clash will qualify straight for the final.

Should Cappawhite/Treacys win they will qualify for the final by virtue of winning all of their three group games. The semi-final pairing will then depend on the result of the remaining group game between Arravale Rovers and Clonoulty/Rossmore.

Should Clonoulty/Rossmore win they will be level on 4 points with Cappawhite/Treacys with a game to play. Clonoulty/Rossmore though will go through to the final based on their head to head with Cappawhite/Treacys. Arravale Rovers defeat by Cashel King Cormacs in round 1 means even if they defeated Clonoulty/Rossmore in the final group game and go level on points with Cashel they cannot get past Cashel King Cormacs on the head to head and so the last group game will be irrelevant. Cappawhite/Treacys would then play Cashel King Cormacs in the West semi-final.

The Ollies Bar West U21B Hurling championship continued last weekend as Rockwell/Rosegreen and Galtee/Emly clashed in New Inn on Sunday last in their re-fixed encounter. It was Galtee/Emly who made a winning start to this year’s competition as Rockwell/Rosegreen suffered their second defeat. The result means Rockwell/Rosegreen have now been eliminated and see’s both Galtee/Emly and Eire Og Annacarty through to the semi-finals from group 2. Match Report

The semi-final pairings will be decided by the final game in each group, Golden/Kilfeacle v Lattin/Cullen Gaels (Grp 1) and Eire Og Annacarty Donohill v Galtee/Emly (Grp 2). The top team in Group 1 will take on second team in Group 2 and vice versa in the semi-finals.

County Junior B Hurling Championship:
Best of luck to Eire Og Annacarty Donohill who will play Newport in the Clean Ireland Recycling County
Junior B Hurling final this Saturday November 14th at 2:15pm in Drombane. Extra-time will be played in the event of a draw.

This will be Eire Og Annacarty Donohill’s first County final appearance in the grade having been defeated at the semi-final stage in their previous two attempts. Eire Og Annacarty Donohill will be the third West team in five seasons to contest the Junior B hurling final (Arravale Rovers 2011 & Rosegreen 2014) and will be looking to become the first West team to win the competition.

County Minor A Hurling Championship:
Commiserations to Clonoulty/Rossmore who were defeated by St. Marys in the semi-final of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Minor A Hurling championship in New Inn on Saturday last. Clonoulty/Rossmore lead by four points at half time in normal time and the sides were all square at the end of the sixty minutes. St. Marys though came out on top in extra-time to advance to the county final.

County Minor B Hurling Championship:
Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams should know their final opponents by this weekend as Moneygall/Clonakenny take on Loughmore/Castleiney in the semi-final of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Minor B Hurling championship. This game is fixed for Templemore this Sunday November 15th with a 2pm throw in. Extra-time will be played in the event of a draw.

Munster Junior Football Championship:
