West Senior Football Championship:
The draw for the West Senior Football Championship took place in the Dome in Thurles on Sunday night last.
Arravale Rovers will take on Galtee Rovers while Aherlow Gaels will take on Eire Og Annacarty Donohill. It is a repeat of the 2014 semi-final pairings where Galtee Rovers and Eire Og Annacarty Donohill advanced to the final with Galtee Rovers taking the crown.

Arravale Rovers go in as reigning champions and will be looking to become the first defending champions since themselves in 2012 to successfully return to the final. In fact the last team to successfully defend the West championship was Aherlow in 2010. It was also Aherlow’s last appearance in the final. Arravale Rovers have won three of the last five championships (2011, 2013 and 2015) while Galtee Rovers (2014) and Eire Og Annacarty Donohill (2012) have won one each. The remaining draws will take place this Thursday night January 28th at the West Board Adjourned Convention.
