West Convention:
The 88th Annual General Meeting of West Tipperary GAA will take place in the Cappawhite Community Centre this Wednesday December 7th at 8.30pm.
Inter Provincial:
Congratulations to Eire Og Annacarty Donohill’s Brian Fox on his inclusion in the Munster Football panel for the upcoming interprovincial series. Munster will play Ulster on Saturday December 10th at 4pm in Parnell Park. Leinster will play Connacht at the same venue at 6pm. The final will take place at 2pm the following day in Parnell Park.
Canon Hayes Sports Awards:
Congratulations to the Abbey CBS, Tipperary Town on winning the local award at the recent Canon Hayes Sports Awards held in Ballykisteen Hotel on Saturday last.
The outstanding achievement award was won by the Tipperary Minor and Senior hurlers. The Senior hurlers were represented by John O’Keeffe (Clonoulty/Rossmore) while the Minors were represented by Shane Neville (Lattin/Cullen Gaels) and Rian Doody (Cappawhite). Representing the Tipperary County Board on the night were County PRO Joe Bracken and Treasurer Michael Power.
Referees:
Congratulations to John O’Brien (Arravale Rovers) and Fergal Horgan (Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams) who received their All Ireland medal from an Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Aogán Ó Fearghail and Seán Walsh, Chairman of National Referee Development Committee, at the GAA National Referees’ Awards Banquet 2016 at Croke Park in Dublin on Saturday night last.
