West Senior Hurling Championship:
Congratulations to Eire Og Annacarty Donohill who are The Tipperary Co-Op West Senior Hurling champions for 2015. They defeated Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams on Sunday last in Cashel by just one point. Eire Og Annacarty Donohill have now completed a three in a row of West titles for the first time since the 1940’s. Link to match report
Eire Og Annacarty Donohill will now play Lorrha/Dorrha in the County SHC preliminary quarter finals.

West Intermediate Hurling Championship:
Congratulations to Cashel King Cormacs who became Tipperary Credit Union West Intermediate Hurling champions for the first time in the clubs history when they defeated Galtee Rovers in the West Final on Saturday last in New Inn by 2 points. Link to match report
As a result of their West Final victory Cashel King Cormacs have now qualified for the County IHC preliminary quarter finals.

West Intermediate Football Championship:
The final of the Rea Clarke Hennessy West Intermediate Football Championship has been fixed for Friday the 4th of September. The game will see Cashel King Cormacs take on Rockwell Rovers. Throw in will be 8pm. Extra-time will be played in the event of a draw.

West Junior A Hurling Championship:
The final of the Gleeson Concrete West Junior A Hurling Championship takes place this Sunday evening August 30th when Clonoulty/Rossmore and Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams meet in Golden. The game has a 6.30pm throw and extra time will be played in the event of a draw. It will be the second meeting of the sides in this year’s championship, with Clonoulty taking the points when the sides met in the group stages of the competition.

Clonoulty/Rossmore defeated Kickhams and Emly (twice) in the group stages of the competition to qualify for the final unbeaten. Kickhams defeated Emly, drew with Emly and lost to Clonoulty/R in the group stages and qualified on three points.

Clonoulty/Rossmore will go into the final as defending champions having defeated Sunday’s opposition in last year’s decider. Kickhams will be playing in their fourth decider in a row having won the competition in 2013. Clonoulty/R will be playing in their third final in four year’s winning their previous two appearances in the final in 2012 and 2014 against Sunday’s opposition.

Only two points separated the sides at the final whistle in last year’s final and there was just four points between the sides when they met earlier in the year.

West Minor Hurling Championship:
In the Dundrum House Hotel West Minor A Hurling Championship Emly/Treacys received a walkover from Arravale Eire/Og while Galtee/Golden conceded to Clonoulty/Rossmore. There is one group game left to play between Emly/Treacys and Galtee/Golden but this will be irrelevant as both sides will meet in the semi-final of the competition. Clonoulty/Rossmore and Arravale/Eire Og will meet in the other semi-final. Dates, times and venues of the semi-finals are to be confirmed.

In the Bewley’s West Minor B Hurling Championship the semi-final between Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams and Lattin/Cullen Gaels will take place this Wednesday August 26th in Sean Treacy Park with a 6.30pm throw in. Extra-time will be played in the event of a draw. It will be second meeting of the sides in the competition, Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams winning the group encounter just over a month ago.

Lattin/Cullen Gaels defeated Cashel King Cormacs and were defeated by Cappawhite Gaels and Knockavilla Donaskeigh in the group stages qualifying for the semi-finals in third place. Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams defeated Lattin/Cullen Gaels and Cashel King Cormacs and conceded to Cappawhite Gaels in the group stages qualifying for the semi-finals in second place. The winners will play Cappawhite Gaels in the West Final.

West Junior A Football Championship:
The semi-finals of the AIB Tipperary West Junior A Football Championship have now been confirmed:
Emly v Cappawhite
Clonoulty/Rossmore v Golden/Kilfeacle

The first of the semi-finals takes place this Sunday evening August 30th between Cappawhite and Emly. Throw in is 6.30pm in Sean Treacy Park and extra-time will be played in the event of a draw. Emly go into the semi-finals unbeaten having defeated Kickhams, Sean Treacys, and Arravale Rovers and drew with Golden/K in the group stages. Cappawhite recovered from an opening round loss to Clonoulty/R to defeat Solohead and 2014 champions Rosegreen and received a walkover from Lattin/Cullen, to qualify in second place in group 1.

County Intermediate Hurling Championship:
The first of the playoff games in Group 2 of the County Intermediate Hurling Championship took place on Tuesday last August 18th as Lattin/Cullen Gaels defeated Gortnahoe/Glengoole in Clonoulty. Lattin/Cullen games now play the winners of St Marys and Gortnahoe/G on 13th September.
1) Lattin/Cullen Gaels 0-19 1-14 Gortnahoe Glengoole
2) St Marys v Gortnahoe/G on 9th September in Dr Morris Park at 7.15pm
3) Lattin/Cullen Gaels v Winner (2) with the winner topping the table and progressing to the Quarter finals and the loser playing in the Preliminary Quarter Finals on 13th September 2015.

In Group 3 there is also a three way playoff to see who will finish bottom of the group. The first game will see Moyle Rovers take on Shannon Rovers on Wednesday September 9th at 7.45pm in Templetuohy. Cashel King Cormacs will then take on the losers of this game with a date, time and venue to be confirmed.

County Senior Football Championship:
The final game in Group 3 of the County Senior Football Championship between Galtee/Rovers and Moycarkey/Borris is currently fixed for Cashel on Wednesday September 2nd with a 6.30pm throw in.

County Senior Hurling Championship:
Eire Og Annacarty Donohill have been drawn against Lorrha/Dorrha in the Preliminary ¼ finals of the County Senior Hurling Championship. As only 14 teams qualified Clonoulty/R were one of two teams to receive a bye into the ¼ finals.

Tipperary Minor Football Team:
Best of luck to our West representatives and to the Tipperary Minor football team and management who take on Kildare in the All Ireland Minor Football semi-final in Croke Park on Sunday next at 1.30pm.

Referee:
Congratulations to Fergal Horgan who took charge of the All Ireland U21 semi-final between Galway and Limerick on Saturday last in Thurles.
