West Senior Hurling Championship:
The Tipperary Co-Op West Senior Hurling Championship Final between Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams and Eire Og Annacarty Donohill will take place the weekend of August 23rd.

West Senior Football Championship:
The Semi-finals of the Rea Clarke Hennessy West Senior Football Championship took place on Tuesday last. For the third year in a row the previous year’s beaten West finalists overturned the previous year’s champions as Eire Og Annacarty Donohill defeated Galtee Rovers by two points in Cashel.

In the other semi-final Arravale Rovers defeated Aherlow Gaels by one point in Dundrum.

Arravale Rovers will now play Eire Og Annacarty Donohill in the West Senior Football final in what will be a repeat of the 2011 and 2012 finals.

West Intermediate Hurling Championship:
The first of this year’s Tipperary Credit Union West Intermediate Hurling Championship semi-finals took place last Saturday evening in Golden, where Cashel KC advanced to the final at the expense of 2014 champions Lattin/Cullen Gaels by a margin of three points. Link to match report

On Saturday next in Dundrum the second of this year’s semi-finals take place. Golden/K and Galtee Rovers go head to head with a 6.30pm throw in. Extra-time will be played in the event of a draw.

Both sides were victorious in round 1 of the competition defeating Arravale Rovers and Rockwell Rovers respectively. Golden/K are unbeaten in West and County championship so far in 2015 winning one and drawing three of their County championship games. They have qualified for the Preliminary quarter finals through the county group stage. Galtee Rovers won three of the five County Championship matches and were defeated in two, finishing third in their group. Galtee Rovers will be looking to qualify for the final for the first time since 2010 while Golden/K were narrowly beaten in the 2014 decider.

West Junior A Hurling Championship:
The game between Emly and Clonoulty/R has been re-fixed for this Tuesday August 11th in Solohead with a 7pm throw in. This is a must win game for Emly to have any chance of making the final. When the sides met in round 1 Clonoulty/R just shaded it by two points.

The final game of the round robin series takes place on Saturday night in Golden where Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams take on Clonoulty/Rossmore. Clonoulty/R are already through to the final and their opponents will be confirmed depending on results in their last two matches. Throw in on Saturday night is 7pm.

West Minor Hurling Championship:
The Dundrum House Hotel West Minor A Hurling Championship resumed on Wednesday last August 5th. Clonoulty/R made it three wins from three when they defeated Arravale/Eire Og in Clonoulty. Link to match report

The other game between Emly/Treacys and Galtee/Golden was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. This Wednesday in New Inn, Rockwell/Rosegreen take on Emly/Treacys at 7pm. Both sides will be looking for their first win in this year’s competition. A defeat for Rockwell/Rosegreen will see them unable to qualify for the semi-finals.

In the Bewley’s West Minor B Hurling Championship Cappawhite are through to the final while Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams will meet Lattin/Cullen Gaels in the semi-final.

West Junior B Hurling Championship:
In Group 2 of the Tipperary Co-Op Super Valu West Junior B Hurling Championship Solohead kept up their 100% record in the group when they defeated Arravale Rovers by six points in Cappawhite. Solohead now finish top of the group with Sean Treacys in second.

In Group 1 on Saturday night in Bansha, Eire Og Annacarty Donohill defeated reigning West champions Rosegreen by the minimum in the final game of the group and in the process took the last semi-final spot of the competition. Link to match report

The competition continues in earnest on Saturday next August 15th with both semi-finals down for decision. In Clonoulty, Cashel and Sean Treacys meet at 6.30pm with extra time to be played in the event of a draw. In Cappawhite, Solohead take on Eire Og Annacarty Donohill also with a 6.30pm throw in.

Cashel and Solohead go into the semi-finals unbeaten in their respective groups. Both Cashel and Solohead have been runner ups in the previous two Junior B Finals. Eire Og Annacarty Donohill and Sean Treacys have been defeated just once in the group phase of the competition.

West Junior A Football Championship:
The AIB Tipperary West Junior A Football Championship continued on Tuesday last with one game down for decision in Group 1. Cappawhite are now through to the semi-finals of the competition following their victory over 2014 champions Rosegreen. The results sees Rosegreen’s involvement in the competition ended for this year. Link to match report

The final game between Clonoulty/R and Lattin/Cullen will decided if Cappawhite or Clonoulty/R top the group. Both sides are through to the semi-finals. In Group 2 the winners of the Arravale Rovers and Golden/K game, which is fixed for Tuesday August 11th in Bansha at 7pm, will join Emly in the semi-finals. Should this game finish level, then Golden/K will progress.

County Intermediate Hurling Championship:
The first of the playoff games in Group 2 of the County Intermediate Hurling Championship takes place on Tuesday August 18th between Lattin/Cullen Gaels and Gortnahoe/Glengoole. Throw in is 6:45pm in Clonoulty.
1) Lattin Cullen Gaels v Gortnahoe Glengoole
2) St Marys v the loser of 1)
3) Winner (1) v Winner (2) with the winner topping the table and progressing to the Quarter finals and the loser playing in the Preliminary Quarter Finals.

In Group 3 of the County Intermediate Hurling Championship Clonakenny defeated Moyle Rovers, leaving three teams level on two points at the bottom of the group, Cashel KC, Moyle Rovers and Shannon Rovers. As walkover were giving affecting the teams involved a playoff will be needed to see who finishes bottom of the group.

County Senior Football Championship:
The final game in Group 3 of the County Senior Football Championship between Galtee/Rovers and Moycarkey/Borris is currently fixed for Cashel on Saturday August 22nd with a 6pm throw in. If Galtee Rovers are in the West Intermediate hurling final this game goes back to the 29th.

Tipperary Minor Hurling Team:
Best of luck to our West representatives and to the Tipperary Minor hurling team and management who take on Dublin in the All Ireland Minor Hurling semi-final in Croke Park on Sunday next at 1.30pm.

Tipperary Senior Hurling Team:
Best of luck to our West representatives and to the Tipperary Senior hurling team and management who take on Galway in the All Ireland Hurling semi-final in Croke Park on Sunday next at 3.30pm.

Referees:
Well done to John O’Brien who took charge of the All Ireland Minor Hurling semi-final between Kilkenny and Galway on Sunday last in Croke Park. Congratulations to Fergal Horgan who took charge of the All Ireland Intermediate Hurling Final between Galway and Cork on Saturday last.
