Tomás Ó Baróid, Uachtarán agus iar Rúnaí CLG Thiobraid Árann passed away on Monday January 12th.
Tomás served as Rúnaí of Coiste Chontae Thiobraid Árann for 37 years, secretary of his club, Thurles Sarsfields, for 12 years and also as a Trustee of the GAA for 3 years. He was one of the founders of Féile na nGael in 1971 and gave a lifetime of outstanding service to the Association, county and games that he loved passionately.
Funeral Arrangements
Mr Ó Baróid’s body will repose at the Sarsfields Social Centre, Bohernanave, Thurles, Tipperary, on Wednesday evening next, (January 14th) from 4pm to 8pm, arriving at the Cathedral of The Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles, at 8.30pm.
Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday, January 15th at 11am with burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles.
Family flowers only, but donations, if desired, to the Community Hospital of the Assumption here in Thurles.
