Tipperary’s fixtures for the 2024 Co-Op Superstores Munster Hurling League and the 2024 McGrath Cup Football competition have been confirmed today by Munster GAA.
All 6 Munster counties have entered each pre-season competition and will play 1 home and 1 away group game each. The winner of each group will contest the respective Finals.
The Co-Op Superstores Munster Hurling League will get underway on Tuesday January 2nd when Clare host Limerick while Kerry are at home to Waterford. A night later, the McGrath Cup Football gets underway when Kerry takes on Tipperary while Clare play Cork.
The McGrath Cup Football Final is penciled in for Friday January 19th while the Co-Op Superstores Munster Hurling League Final is fixed for Sunday January 21st.
The Tipperary senior hurlers have been placed in Group B of the Co-Op Superstores Munster Hurling League along side Kerry and Waterford, while the Tipperary footballers have been placed in Group A of the McGrath Cup along with Kerry and Limerick.
Liam Cahills men will play Waterford in their first game on January 7th at a Waterford venue, before welcoming Kerry to Tipperary on January 14th. They will then have a home game against Limerick on January 13th.
In his first competative game as Tipperary Football Manager, Paul Kelly will bring his charges to Kerry to play the 2023 All Ireland finalists on January 3rd
