The Tipperary senior hurlers get their Munster Championship campaign under way against Limerick in the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday next 20th May, where throw-in will be 2pm, and manager Michael Ryan and his fellow selectors have named their team for the opening round in the new revised championship format.
There are 4 championship debutants as Tipperary set out on the season ahead with Brian Hogan, Barry Heffernan, Willie Connors and Billy McCarthy all starting, while Alan Flynn also makes his starting championship debut having been introduced in last year’s Munster quarter-final.

The Tipperary football team to play Waterford in the Munster Senior Football Championship quarter-final tomorrow evening, Saturday 19th May, at 7pm, in Semple Stadium has been announced by manager Liam Kearns.
John Meagher (Loughmore-Castleiney) makes his championship debut at full back while his club mate Liam McGrath having made a number of championship appearances last year as a substitute also makes his debut championship start.

Tipperary minor hurling manager Tommy Dunne has also named his first side as they too head to the Gaelic Grounds to play Limerick in Round 1 of the Electric Ireland Munster Minor Hurling Championship on Sunday next where throw-in will be at 12noon.
His starting XV includes 5 dual players – Conor Whelan, Kevin Hayes, Johnny Ryan, Max Hackett & Devon Ryan who lined out for the Tipperary minor footballers in their recent Munster campaign; while 1 more, Keith Ryan, is named among the subs.
