TIPPERARY U14 CHAMPIONSHIP
On Monday June 2nd Tipperary U14 Clubs competed in three County Finals. The first Final was the A Final in Boherlahan and Aherlow claimed victory over Thurles Sarsfields in a very competitive game. Moycarkey Borris GAA Club hosted the B Final between Fethard and Templemore, a repeat of last year’s Final and Fethard repeated their victory. Moyne Templetuohy overcame Clerihan in the D Plate Final later that evening.
On Wednesday June 4th Clonmel Commercials defeated Holycross in the D Final in Bansha.

COUNTY TIPPERARY U8/U10 BLITZ
On Saturday last Duneske, Cahir was converted into fourteen small pitches and over forty teams competed in a non-competitive blitz. Each team got at least an hour of play time playing four or five matches each with no scores recorded in any of the games. Over four hundred girls participated in a fun blitz with an emphasis on skill development and team play. The standard of football in both age groups was very high with some superstars in the making.

Well done to all the young referees who gained experience from refereeing the blitz. Thanks to Duneske, Cahir for the use of their excellent facilities. Thanks to all the clubs who partook and the young ladies that played the games. A special thanks to the two hundred mentors and parents who travelled on the day. Congratulations to Ed Burke, Development Officer and Tony Smith who organised the County U8/U10 Blitz.
