DEVELOPMENT SQUADS
For the months of September and October Tipperary Ladies Football have hosted development squads for ladies U12, U13 and U15 and the girls have turned out in great numbers to attend these squads. The U12 Development will continue for another week finishing up on Saturday November 2nd with an Inter County Blitz in Clonmel Óg GAA Grounds. This squad started late in August with their first Inter County Blitz in the National University of Ireland Galway Sports Pavilion & Pitches at Dangan (Galway City) which was organised by the Galway Ladies Football County Board. Tipperary played Galway, Clare and Westmeath and in the Plate final they defeated Galway. A few weeks later they made the journey to St. Josephs Doora Barefield GAA club, Clare where they competed successfully with Clare and Limerick.

The U13 Development Squad started in late August on Sunday mornings. Rathkeale, Limerick was the venue for their first blitz where they competed in a number of games. The squad organised their own blitz in Moyle Rovers GAA Grounds, Monroe, Clonmel challenging teams from Limerick and Clare. Last Saturday they travelled to Mallow GAA Grounds to play in the Munster Development Blitz. All girls had a great day out.

Our U15 squad started their development in early September in Golden GAA Grounds. Over eighty girls turned out for development. The girls trained hard for eight weeks and four teams travelled to the Munster Development Blitz in the Mallow GAA Grounds. This was a great day for these girls as they competed against teams from Kerry, Limerick and Clare. Tremendous work has been carried out by the coaches of all our development squads and special thanks should be given to the parents of these girls for their patience and time.

All this good work could not have been done without the assistance of the GAA Grounds that we used over the period. Thanks to the clubs and their grounds people for their excellent facilities.
