TIPPERARY POST PRIMARY BLITZ
Tipperary Ladies Gaelic Football hosted their second U14 Post Primary Ladies Football Blitz in Rockwell College on Friday, 16th May. Presentation Clonmel, Cashel Community School, Scoil Ruain Killenaule, Rockwell College, Presentation Thurles entered teams in the competition while the Ursuline Thurles entered two teams. There was a great display of football on the day. In the A Competition Ursuline “A” Team overcame Cashel Community School in the Final. Tommie Campbell, Chairman of Tipperary Ladies Football presented the cup to Orla Cashman, Captain of the Ursuline A team and commended all the teams for entering the blitz.
In the B Competition the teams were very well matched and there was some very competitive games. The Final saw a repeat of the Tipperary PPS Blitz U15 B Competition Final with Rockwell College defeating Scoil Ruain Killenaule. Tommie Campbell, Chairman of Tipperary Ladies Football presented the cup to Roisin McCarthy, Captain of Rockwell College. Tommie thanked all the schools for supporting the U14 and U15 blitzes this year. He reiterated that it was difficult for schools to support everything given the numerous teams involved in the latter stages of Munster and All-Ireland competitions, not to mention other sports.
Thanks to Tony Smith, Rockwell College and Siobhan Condon, Tipperary Ladies Gaelic Football Secretary for organising both blitzes. Thanks to Rockwell College for providing us with their excellent facilities on the day. Thanks to all the schools and supporters for participating in the blitz.

TIPPERARY ADULT LEAGUE
Congratulations to Fethard on becoming the Tipperary Junior B League winners when they overcame Gortnahoe Glengoole in Final on Sunday last in Fethard.
Well done to St. Patrick’s who defeated Cahir B in the Tipperary Junior C/D League Final on Sunday last in Cahir.
MMI GROUP INTERPROVINCIAL FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Congratulations to Munster who won the Shield Final in the MMI Group Interprovincial Football Championship in Kinnegad on Saturday last. Munster’s first game was against Connacht where they were narrowly defeated, Munster 1-8 Connacht 2-8. In the second game Munster overcame Ulster on a score line of 3-6 to 1-10 and they recorded their second victory of the day in the third match against Leinster, Munster 2-12 Leinster 1-4.
Due to other results not going their way Munster competed against Ulster in a penalty shoot out to decide which final they would contest. Munster were unsuccessful in the penalty shoot-out and this meant they would compete against Leinster in the Shield Final. In a tight game which ended in a draw Munster 4-6 Leinster 1-15, another penalty shoot-out was required by Munster to claim the title.
Congratulations to Tipperary’s Gillian O’Brien who was part of the Munster panel and Elaine Harte, Tipperary Minor Selector who was a selector on the Munster Management Team.
MUNSTER CLUB 7’S COMPETITION
Munster Ladies Gaelic Football will host their fifth Munster Club 7’s Competition in Mallow GAA Sports Complex on Saturday June 7th. This is a fantastic day of Ladies Football for all clubs who participate. Clubs can compete in Senior, Intermediate or Junior Grades with panels of 12 players.
