MUNSTER CHAMPIONSHIP LAUNCH
The TG4 Munster Senior and Intermediate Championship was launched on Monday last in Aras Mumhan, Limerick. Munster GAA Vice President Jerry O’Sullivan, Michael Ryan, Waterford and the McDonnell Family were in attendance as the Munster Intermediate Cup was renamed the Enda McDonnell Cup, in memory of the late Munster Ladies Gaelic Football President. Enda McDonnell, Tipperary worked tirelessly promoting Ladies Gaelic Football both locally and nationally. At Tipperary Ladies Football matches one would always find and hear Enda on the side line and he took immense pleasure in attending the All Ireland Final last year in Croke Park. His wife, Olive was deeply honoured by the renaming of the Cup “It’s amazing and something Enda would have been so honoured about. He simply lived for Ladies Football”.

Tipperary’s involvement in the Munster Intermediate Championship will commence with an away fixture against Limerick on 28th June at 3.00pm. Tipperary manager, John Leahy comments “We are only looking at Limerick at the moment and it’s certainly only one game at a time from there”. Waterford are Tipperary’s next opponents on July 2nd and Waterford’s Captain, Michelle McGrath is quoted as saying “Tipperary will certainly be the ones to beat and they are getting a lot closer each time we play them”.

We wish the Tipperary team and their management the very best as they commence their Munster Championship and we will endeavour to provide great support for them throughout the Munster Championship and hopefully on Munster Final Day on Saturday 12th July in Rathmore, Co. Kerry.

MUNSTER GAELIC4MOTHERS
Best wishes to all the Tipperary Gaelic4Mothers who will represent their clubs in the Munster Gaelic4Mothers Blitz in Mallow on Saturday, June 21st. Gaelic4Mothers is continually growing and is a great success in getting mothers and others playing football.

COUNTY U8 AND U10 COMPETITIONS
Tipperary Ladies Gaelic Football are hoping to organise blitzes for clubs in your area. All clubs interested in this are asked to contact Ed Burke, Development Officer by 20th June (Details on www.tipperaryladiesfootball.ie). It is hoped that these regional blitzes will involve four or more clubs in the one area being grouped together and each club will organise a mini blitz for all the teams in their group until all teams will host a blitz.

Tipperary Ladies Gaelic Football will provide each team with group dates, templates for fixtures, pitch layout and rules that should be used. This information can be used as it is or as guidelines if clubs want to change them around with consent of other clubs in their area. It is envisaged that we can get every team who enters a minimum of twelve, twenty minute games which will serve as invaluable game time for all girls. Every effort will be made to try and group U8 and U10 teams in the same groups so that a club can host both their blitzes on one night. These regional blitz will begin at the start of July and should run through to the start of August.

DEVELOPMENT SQUADS
Tipperary Ladies Football is starting to organise their 2014 Development Squads. It is hoped to commence the following squads on these dates

County U12 Academy Start (July 26th/27th)
County U13 Development Squad Start (Aug 9th/10th)
County U15 Development Squat Start (Aug 16th/17th)
