ENDA MCDONNELL GAELTACHT BURSARY
The closing date for the Enda McDonnell Gaeltacht bursary is fast approaching, Wednesday February 25th at 5.00pm. The Enda McDonnell Gaeltacht Bursary is open to any Tipperary Ladies Football member who is attending Secondary School and travelling to a Gaeltacht School. The successful candidate will receive a payment of €250 to the Gaeltacht School of their choice. Application forms are all on the website, www.tipperaryladiesfootball.ie.

TIPPERARY U16 CHAMPIONSHIP
The U16 Championship commenced on Saturday last with the first round of the ‘C’ Competition. Ardfinnan defeated Arravale Rovers on a score line 2-9 to 2-7.

TIPPERARY INTERMEDIATE TEAM
In the next round of the Tesco Homegrown National Football League Tipperary will travel to Roscommon on Sunday next February 22nd, fixture details are not available yet and will be posted on www.facebook.com/tippladiesfootball

HIGHER EDUCATION COMPETITIONS
Last week the Colleges started their Ladies Football Competitions. There are a number of Tipperary Ladies Football players playing in the Competitions. In the O’Connor Cup the University of Limerick (UL) defeated the University College of Dublin (UCD) on a score line, UL 3-8 UCD 0-8. The UL team included Emma Buckley (Cahir), Siobhan Condon (Aherlow), Maria Curley (Templemore), Sarah Everard (Moyle Rovers), Jennifer Grant (Brian Borus), Aisling McCarthy (Cahir) and Dara Walsh (Clonmel Commercials). Dublin City University (DCU) overcame Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), DCU 1-12 QUB 0-7 with Tipperary’s Lorraine O’Shea on the DCU team.

In the Donaghy Cup the University College Cork second team (UCC2) defeated the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI) comprehensively, UCC2 5-27 RCSI 1-1. Maeve O’Gorman (Aherlow) represented Tipperary on the UCC2 team.
In the Giles Cup St. Pat’s Drumcondra defeated IT Carlow by 2-9 to 1-11, Tipperary Intermediate Player, Shauna Ryan (Ballymacarbry) was on the Carlow IT team.

REFEREES COURSE
Tipperary Ladies Football held a Level 1 Referees Course on Saturday and Sunday, last in Galtee Rovers GAA Club. The course was well attended and Part 3 of the course will be held in another few weeks. We look forward to welcoming all the new referees to our games over the coming weeks.
