A dismal weekend for Tipperary Handball where we contested 6 All-Ireland finals without a win. In Crinkle in Offaly Kevin & Jimmy Mullins were beaten in the GMAD by by Robert Mc Carthy & Liam Cassidy 21/4, 21/12. In DMBD Gerry Foley & Eamon Spillane were beaten by Joe Neary & Padraig Gilliard from Mayo 21/8, 21/8. In Talbots Inch Paddy Collins & Jeddy Mc Keogh were beaten in the DMAD 21/8, 21/6. In Kilfane John Ferncombe & Kevin Dempsey were beaten 21/9,12/21, 21/16 in the Junior Doubles by Darren O Toole & Malachy Whelan from Wexford. In Talbots Inch in MAD John & Eddie Corbett were beaten by Tommy Hynes & Paul Carty from Wexford. In the Minor Doubles in Abbeylara Daniel Hayes & Jonathon Walsh were beaten by Tyrone’s Johnny Woods & Ryan Mullen 21/11, 21/16. Well done to all who reached All-Ireland Finals.
We fared better in the All-Ireland Juvenile Semi-Finals against Connaught. In St Comans in Roscommon in U14D John Mc Grath & Sean Mc Adams beat Gareth Delaney & Dylan Hanly Roscommon 15/14, 15/2. In U16S Jerome Cahill Beat Alan Wrynne from Leitrim 21/3, 21/3. In U16D Jason English & Colin Ryan Beat Cathal O Connor & Michael Egan from Roscommon. Sinéad Meagher is out during the week against Fiona Tully from Roscommon in GU16S & the Girls U15 D Eimear Meagher & Síle Spain have a Bye into the All-Ireland Final.
