“Tipperary Handballers reach 17 All-Ireland 60×30 Finals.”
After the success of our Juveniles reaching 7 All-Ireland Finals last weekend our Adult players won 2 out of 3 Singles finals this weekend. In Dungarvan in Waterford Davy Tobin from C-O-Suir after a tough battle against John Roche from Wexford came out on top to win the Master B Singles All-Ireland title 21/18, 7/21, 21/17. In the Diamond masters A Singles Billy Mullins (Clonmel) had a great win over the much fancied Johnny Rossiter from Carlow. Rossiter led 20-13 in the first but Mullins made a great comeback to win 21-20 and then went on to win the second 21/14. The final game in Dungarvan saw David Moloney from Cashel beaten by Michael Ducksy Walsh in the MAS 21/11, 21/6.
Our Juvenile U12/13 Team of Cormac Doheny ,Rory Grace, James Loughnane, James Power, Cian Donnelly & Adam Fogarty after a great display in the U12/13 Team All-Final against Wexford in Thurles were narrowly beaten 66-59. They led all the way until the final game where Wexford just edged ahead to take the title.
Next weekend Tipperary are out in 7 adult Doubles All-Ireland Finals & 7 Juvenile All-Ireland Finals. On Saturday in St Comans in Roscommon John Lee & Paul Maher (Ballina/Clonmel) take on Kenny Curran & Finbar Fullen from Tyrone.In Talbots Inch on Saturday John Corbett & Martin Mc Inerney (Ballyporeen/Ballina) take on Wexfords Tommy Hynes & Paul Carty in the GMAD. Pat O Flaherty & Tony O Flaherty Youghalarra take on Robbie Mc Carthy & Kevin Flanagan from Westmeath. On Sunday in Garryhill in O35B Doubles John Ferncombe & Michael Purcell from Cashel are up against Joe Cummins & Stephen Quinn from Meath. In SMAD Adrian Johnson & John Mc Quaid (Clonmel/Ballina) take on Tom Sheridan & John Leahy from Meath.
