“All Ireland Success for Tipperary Handballers”
Tipperary Handball Players continue to impress with both Juvenile & adults contesting All-Ireland Finals. Through to 11 All-Ireland finals Tipp won five, lost five and have still to contest one during the week.
In the Adult Grades John Corbett from Ballyporeen travelled to Leixlip where he had a convincing win over Chris Curran from Tyrone winning 21/13, 21/13. Also in Leixlip Martin Mc Inerney & John Lee (Ballina) beat Rory Grogan & Seamus Mc Rory from Tyrone 21/11, 21/16. In the Emerald Masters B Singles Mickey Quinn from Armagh beat Pat Ryan from Ballyporeen 21/11, 21/12. In Monavea in Laois Tony O Flaherty & Pat Griffin (Youghalarra) were beaten by Mick Dowling & Pauric Maguire from Kildare 21/17, 21/19. In the Masters A Doubles Pat O Flaherty & John Mc Quaid (Youghalarra/Ballina ) will take on Tom Sheridan & John Leahy from Meath.
In the Juvenile grades Sinéad Meagher from Nenagh continues to impress and had a good win over Dearbhla Coleman from Armagh.
In the Boys Tipp u16 Doubles Colin Ryan Ryan & Jason English (Cashel/Ballyporeen) beat Mathew Mc Carthen & Pauric Mullen from Tyrone. In the U17 Doubles Ceallach Hennessy & Liam Bradshaw from Ballyporeen/Newport beat Aaron Owens & Tiarnan McCrystal from Tyrone. John Mc Grath & Sean Mc Adams from Lahorna were beaten in the U14 Doubles , Jerome Cahill from Lahorna was beaten in the U16 Singles & Mikey Maher from Ballyporeen was beaten in the U17 Singles.
