“Tipperary Juveniles Win All-Ireland Titles”
At the Juvenile All Ireland Finals in Kingscourt in Cavan on Saturday Tipperary competed in 5 All-Ireland Finals winning 2. Sinéad Meagher (Nenagh) defeated Meagan McCann from Armagh 21/13, 21/14. In the Boys Under 14 Doubles Matthew Spain & Sean Hayes (Lahorna) defeated Josh McMahon & Cian Kehoe Wexford in a thrilling 15/14, 15/14 final. Our Under 15 Girls Doubles Eleanor Percy & Eimear Meagher (Lahorna/Nenagh were beaten by Beth Doris & Meabh Mc Cambridge from Armagh 15/8, 15/2. In the Boys Under 15 Doubles Delvin Courtney & Daragh Madden (Newport/Lahorna) were beaten by Ronan Curran & Shane Grimes (Tyrone) 15/7, 15/9. In the Boys Under 17 Singles Aiden O’Flaherty (Youghalarra) was beaten by Sean Muddiman from Kildare 21/15, 21/9. Well done to all our Juveniles who reached all-Ireland finals. The titles won by County were: Tyrone 3, Armagh 2, Kildare 2, Tipperary 2, Limerick 2, Mayo 2, Galway 1, Clare 1, Cork 1.
