A big weekend for Handball in Kingscourt in Cavan where all the 40×20 Singles finals were played and also the Juvenile Singles & Doubles. Tipperary were only involved in 1 Final where Billy Mullins from Clonmel had a convincing win over Columba Holleran from Mayo winning 21/14, 21/4 to win the DMBS title. In the Senior Singles Robbie Mc Carthy from Westmeath made it three in a row beating Charlie Shanks 21/13, 21/7. Catriona Casey from Cork upset the Senior Singles favourite Ashling Reilly Antrim winning 21/20, 4/21, 21/9.
